Before making a large wager on any game, I try to use analysis on how the other team could win prove me wrong. If you watched the two games last Sunday, the Saints have to shot to win or cover. We all know that you can't use one game to cap the next. I guess you can use the wins against the Giants and Patriots, but those were at home. Knock Payton on his ass, like they did with Favre ? Maybe, but Manning hardly ever gets hit. Are there any youtube video's of Manning getting crushed ? He is like Gumby. The coaching matchup ? Not really. Kicking game ? Nope.

Just can't make the case. Can you ?

You can cap all day, but flippin the coin will still be within 5% of your total correct picks, if not ahead

Every true handicapper caps games differently than the next guy.  What works for Peter may be ignored by Paul.  I'm sure Train69 may weigh things (or even totally ignore) factors I consider vital...and vice versa.  And consider things a lot tougher to handicap a Game when these guys..both players and coaches...have 2 weeks to prepare.  Mental edges, preparation, game plans...some intangibles you have no way of knowing and cannot account for!  As far as what I look for...I perceive all kinds of value in Indy.  What Train looks for may point him to N.O.  As he said..."any given Sunday".

Let's just hope for a clean, injury-free game with no crazy controversy.  And a few bucks when the gun sounds.  GL..

My heart says Saints, but the brain can't see how they stop Manning. You have to hit him, but easier said then done. Yes, I am a Jets fan :).

Indy really struggled with the Jets, IMO. The Jets seemed to have run out of gas in the 2nd half of that game.
I think the Saints can keep it close, and if they go up on the Colts early like the Jets did, I think the Saints can win.
Indy has had issues on defense and the Saints offense is high powered and able to score very quickly. Saints are good at running and passing. Where as the Jets were only able to basically run the ball with some consistency.
I was not impressed with Indy's win over the Jets. If the Jets score one more td they cover the spread. Don't forget they also missed 2 field goals. If they make them Jets cover again.
I just think the Saints are way better than the Jets.

I agree Pulse it's very hard to make a case for the Saints. I think the only chance they have is to pull some crazy trick plays. My money is going on the best all-around team in the colts.  GL

I agree Pulse it's very hard to make a case for the Saints. I think the only chance they have is to pull some crazy trick plays. My money is going on the best all-around team in the colts.  GL

so what you are saying then is  you can't cap this game becasue you can't find a way to make the Saints win even on paper ? Logic would say Colts win just like last week

On paper, I will continue to study it. Maybe Reggie Bush has the game like he did against Ariz or Shockey goes nuts. Yeah, any Given Sunday and we have all seen games breakdown over special team and turnovers, but that is reaching. If I bet against Manning, I can see myself sitting there at 10:30pm Sunday night, saying "that was stupid betting against an all time great at his peak"

Did you take the Jets the last game?
Sounds like your concussion is still lingering

3 teams gave the Colts fits. Patriots (Saints whipped them), Dolphins (Saints beat them in a crazy shootout), and Texans. Anyone doubt that the Saints beat the Texans?

Feeny hurtin is huge. Tell me how Brees, Colston, Shockey, Meachem, Moore, Thomas, Bell, Henderson won't score some points here? This Colt team is not as good as the ones that have been here before.

Manning all time in the playoffs 9 and 9?

    Is that a misprint?

Everyone acts like the guy walks on water but at the end of the day he has won only one Superbowl.

He used to be the guy who cannot win the big one . now he is JC.

He played unreal in the second half of the Jets game but they had him looking confused in the first half.  Sure the Colts may win, absolutely, but no locks in this game ask Brady and the Pats when they were 2 td fav's vs the Giants.  This Aints team did win a lot of games also this year.

yes, I had the Jets, but I had them against Indy the first time, Cincy twice and SD, so I am way ahead, but still trying to see how the Saints can cover.

I just think the Saints are way better than the Jets.

this is where your argument goes completely to shit... i said at the start of the playoffs the Jets were the 2nd best team in the NFL at this point... and they were...

if the Jets had played the Saints, i think getting plus value on the Jets ML would have been the juiciest bet on any NFL game i've ever seen...

your belief that the Saints are much better is completely unfounded...
