    I have just got to say this, maybe I am just getting old and finicky.

    Everyone, from what I have read, like Ben Solak of ESPN is convinced that the Jets bringing in Devante Adams is their ticket to a Super Bowl! Has everybody lost their mind but me? Or am I the only one who lost his mind? If you think bringing in Devante Adams to the NY Jets equals a Superbowl, your out of your mind.

    The NY Jets are a bad football team plain and simple. Their execution is horrid. Everything from the Offensive line to the much talked about Defense. Just on defense alone in the last two games there has been at least 6 pass interference calls. In one game, three where caused by there star "Sauce" who ever.

    Then we get to the O.C issues, I don't care what anybody says, the O.C should not be in the NFL period. The first game without him they lost, but THE play calling improved BY a 1000% but the Jets lost that game because of penalties, poor blocking execution and bad defensive execution. Devante Adams is a great player no doubt, but he can't fix all that. Rogers can't pass laying on his back!

    Here is some hard truth for Ben at ESPN and the rest of you dreamers, Rodgers and Adams played together for 7 years with NO SUPERBOWL! The Packers had plenty of receivers with that duo and still no Superbowl.

    Then there is Rogers himself, who is a self centered human. He proved that by going to Egypt instead of mandatory Mini Camps this year. What kind of message does that send to the younger "very good" players? What does that say to the O.T who gets paid a 1/10 of what Rodgers gets to protect his a**? I bet that O.T would block just a little better for a guy who was there sweating it out in mini camp with him, then a guy who thought he was to good to bother coming! Rodgers absence has bought him no respect.Shannon Sharpe eluded to what I am saying a couple days ago, and Devante can't fix that either.

    With or without Adams makes no difference, the only answer for the Jets football team is to get in the film room and fix the mistakes. Forget about the damn super bowl and just figure how to get first downs. This team has a lot of work to do before they can even win a football game, let alone a Super Bowl.

    It hope it works out for the Jets fans, hopefully the new play caller keeps up what he did last game and they get some momentum going.

    @Hephaestus

    Nice writeup, cool just the right amount of sarcasm. No doubt the Jets will circle the wagons Sunday night as it is now or never time for them this season. Utter desperation with their backs against the wall in a hostile environment and their record sitting at 2-4. I am leaning Jets in this one but probably won't be betting it.

     Everything you said is spot on. But how do you fix it? Its the organiztional philosophy that kills these teams.

    Look at one thing, and one thing only:

    The Kansas City Chiefs, the gold standard in football. The best head coach.

    The Jets had Robert Salah, who can't manage his own timeouts.

    Here it is:

    Kansas City: has 30 coaches on its staff.

    New York Jets: 20 coaches on its staff.

    Kansas City, with the smartest HC in football finds it needs to have 29 additional coaches to support Reid

    Maybe that's why the organization are light years apart?

    100% Agreed. Way too many issues in that franchise which need corrected before we can even talk about just making the playoffs.

    Davante is decent, but he is an aging player with an attitude. Nice PR job on Netflix, but that is not him in the locker room.  Watch the All-22 view of his games the last 2 seasons.  Terrible effort, gives up on plays unless he is primary, and is clearly losing a step in separation.  Yes Rodgers will pepper him with targets and can fit a tighter window than LV QBs, but I don't see either stock rising. Plus it is pretty easy to gameplan for Davante and unless the rest of the WR corps can step up and keep defenses honest, the frustration will continue.

    Fix game day and sideline operations.  Defense is hot Garbage right now and as mentioned, the penalties and miscues are what is leading to terrible field position and situational offense.

    I have to totally disagree with you on Reid being the best HC in football. His playoff record before Mahomes became the starter was 11-13. Since Mahomes became his starter, he's gone 15-3. Patrick Mahomes and the plays he makes when scrambling out of the pocket is what makes this team roll.

Just some random thoughts   Hep

    Does Ben Solak, whoever he is, realize no team with an interim head coach has ever won a playoff game in the Super Bowl era?

    @TJZags598

     Your right on - Take a look at the Packers and M. Lefluer, who I happen to think is one of the best coaches in the league. Andy Reid is good and has plenty of experience but I would NOT trade M.Lefluer for A. Reid. No disrespect to Andy, but Matt is as good as they come. Another coach that I like is S. Payton. He took what the Jets threw away in Z. Wilson and proved that this kid was a solid Q.B. Granted he is 3rd string but I believe he could be a starter on many N.F.L teams. The Jets never gave Wilson a decent shot and that is precisely what your talking about. COACHING and the lack there of on the Jets football team .

    You have correctly identified what I was talking about with many less words! Thank you.

    The truth is that the NFL promised Rodgers that MNF game. The refs tried their best with the roughing the passer call, Rodgers fumble and the flag during the commercial break. The Bills just played too tough. As an apology the NFL game him Adams the next day.

    I think Lefleur is one of the tops as well. Offensive genius.an_light

    Would it surprise you that the Green Bay Packers have a coaching staff of 29? Again Jets=20

    9 extra coaches.

    Even the BEST coaches need support staff to fix problems, like penalties, player development, game planning, quality control.

    Why have all the best organization identified this as the pathway to winning?

    @C-70Blues

     Reid drafted and developed Mahomes into his system; Mahomes wasn't the first player drafted. 13

    According to NFL-com, the top QB draft prospects at the time:

    1. DeShone Kizer, Notre Dame
    2. Deshaun Watson, Clemson
    3. Mitch Trubisky, North Carolina
    4. Brad Kaaya, Miami
    5. Patrick Mahomes, Texas Tech

    Reid moved up to get Mahomes, traded 3 draft picks, so he identified the talent.Reid developed Mahomes to what he is. Right system, right coaching.

    @TJZags598

     That really does it explain it, Packers are young team and still make many mistakes but they always get corrected. Nine extra coaches would make a HUGE difference and explains most of all the Jets issues in a nut shell.
