One can take the Cowboys. They are a huge public dog and have beaten some really good teams lately. There is even talk of them coming back and winning their division. Prescott is in the MVP mix. Added defensive players make the Cowboys a very popular pick, especially at 3 1/2 now. 

One can buy low on the Lions. One can take the Campbell angle of not losing back to back at home, or favorites off a loss or hitting at 48-20. Thursday favorites are 6-3 straight up, and 139-50 since 2000.

The bet is the 55 1/2 under...currently at DraftKings. 70% of the bets at DK is on the over. Yet, at Circa 35% of the handle is on the under, but 76% of the dollars is on the under. The sharps are hitting the under. 

When the total is 50 or more the under is 12-8 this season and 51-29 since 2022. When the total is 54 or more the under is 6-3. Prime time unders are 25-18 this year, and 126-89 since 2022.

Both teams went over on Thanksgiving. Everyone remembers that. The bet is the under 55 1/2.

Lastly, everyone says this is a playoff game. Both defenses will come to play tonight. I'm not saying it will necessarily be a 10-7 game. What I am saying is that it will not be a track meet like everyone is expecting.

The defenses did not come to play unfortunately haha. I bet the under too. For the reasons you specified. The officials tried keeping it under too but there's nothing they can do if both sides are refusing to play defense
