I want this to be an open, honest and respectful discussion
We can all agree that sportsbooks do well in the NFL even though sports books account for less than 2% of casinos revenue (investigate it I did)
With the vig and player greed and lack of self control and emotional wagering books have been around for a very long time and well we can agree been overall a success. Can we agree and I am being generous here 5% or players win Their simple formula is very successful. So why all of a sudden or the last handful of years on here at least do so may people think games need to be fixed or rigged? First response I expect is because of legalized betting being more readily available SO what the formula works just stay the course. The next thing we will here is "money" That is what unintelligent people say , they make a sweeping statement without backing it up They think everyone will say "oh yeah , good point you're right, nonsense.

Hold Percentage: Sportsbooks retain roughly 9% to 10% of the total amount wagered (handle) as revenue.
Digital Dominance: Over 90% of sports betting handle in top markets like New York is generated online, with mobile sportsbooks rapidly expanding in Nevada (over 70% of total handle in Dec 2025).
Contextual Data (2023–2025):
2023: Sports betting represented about 16.5% of the total $66.5B in commercial gaming revenue (approx. $11B).
2025 Projection: The industry saw continued record-breaking revenue in 2025, with early 2025, online sports betting and iGaming combined taking over 30% of the market share.
While slot machines and table games still make up the bulk of traditional casino revenue, the rapid expansion of mobile sportsbooks across 38+ states has shifted the overall revenue mix toward digital betting.

what percentage of the NFL revenue is attributed to sportsbook wagering across all gambling venues
While the NFL does not disclose an exact, single percentage of its total revenue directly attributed to sportsbook wagering, the economic impact is massive and rapidly growing.
Based on 2024–2025 data, here is the breakdown of how sportsbook wagering impacts NFL revenue:
Total Legal Wagers: Americans are expected to wager approximately $30 billion to $35 billion on NFL games legally during the 2025 season.
Direct Revenue to NFL: The NFL makes roughly $132 million annually specifically from gambling-related sponsorships and partnerships.
Total Financial Impact: In 2018, research suggested legal sports betting could increase NFL revenue by $2.3 billion annually when accounting for direct sponsorship fees, data rights, and increased media consumption.
Key Details on Betting Revenue:
Growth: Betting-linked sponsorships for NFL teams grew by 40% in 2022.
Percentage of Market: NFL-related bets make up roughly 40% of the entire sports betting market in the U.S..
Direct to Teams: In 2023, the NFL began allowing teams to have physical sportsbooks located in or adjacent to their stadiums.
While the $132 million in direct sponsorship revenue is small compared to the NFL's total revenue (which is in the tens of billions), the indirect impact—higher television ratings, increased fan engagement, and higher media rights fees—is far more significant.

So more like 20% and not 2% hmmph. So OP starts off with incorrect information eek that's never good.
Glad that you read posts #2 #3 which gave you the the real Massive amounts that sports gambling in the NFL produces which is far more than this this original post states.
He told us all to investigate this which I did and it has indeed exposed his nonsense belief and very false numbers that their is no substantial evidence that backs up ones notions or beliefs that sports are manipulated to it's desired outcomes.
Why he needs to bash those that believe that the NFL is not always on the up and up is beyond me, because hey he may truly believe in the the easter bunny and the tooth fairy as well as Santa Clause are certainly real and so be it.
Just leave those that believe that strange outcomes are questionable and should be questioned and to leave those believers be and to please stop with threads that pertain to this topic......Thank you

You don't deserve anything, especially any respect. Sometimes you just can't help people and this dude seems very far gone beyond repair. Just hope to never run into people like you who are dangerous to society

I don't have a sincere question, but I do have a statement that is 100% fact. Mike Trout sucks, and so does Bill Belichick as a head coach without Tom Brady on his roster.
