sean payton

this guy can coach. during his days with the saints he was legendary. with drew brees starting at qb the coach piled up dominant wins. without drew brees at qb the coach hardly missed and still won with backups. with this injury to bo nix the markets has responded and according to the odds their chances are slim. but according to the coach who hasn't flinched his team is ready to go and he might still have something say to the rest of us.

 He only got the saints to one super bowl and got knocked out every time the saints made the playoffs after that , he thinks he’s bill parcells , but bill won 2 super bowls and made other super bowls and a few championships games , Payton is way over rated

 i can think of some choice words to describe sean payton, but none of them are 'way over rated' 

he might not have two superbowls.. yet.. but he's got one and right there knocking on the door of the other one

He's overrated but maybe he's learned from his mistakes. This guy ran a punt fake in a playoff game with the saints and had the punter air it out on a deep pass where there isn't any PIs on a punt fake pass. Needless to say it failed

 he's a sb champ with the saints, and has the broncos one game away from the sb. only seven coaches led two different teams to sb. not all of them won a championship, and some of them are hof. no one is going to remember the fake punt if he wins another game.

 He got knocked out or was fixed against him? You’re gonna sit here and say Minnesota miracle and Rams no call were fair and legal? Or Fixed? SP is a great HC. NFL didn’t like him and made him suffer because of bountygate. I’d love for him to win one with Den and give a big fuck you to the NFL commissioner

Its funny how no one brings up bountygate anymore imagine if Tomlin had done it instead, it would be brought up every time he was mentioned.

Not having your starting QB and the back up is weak - That’s a series hurdle against a good defense. Denver can win if the back up plays well but that’s a big “ IF”. Denver”s defense will have to play great , get some points from turn overs. I think Pats win Pats -3 for my money. 

sean payton won games with career backup qbs. jameis winston, teddy bridgewater, and taysom hill. those players wouldn't have had any success under any other coach or team. as of today you could argue that payton might be the most decorated coach remaining of the four in the playoffs. that's a clear advantage for the broncos. 

I'm amazed people would want to 'stick it to the commish' and support a guy who PAID HIS PLAYERS to injure opponents. How could anyone ever like or respect a guy like that?

 That wasn't Sean Payton, it was DC Gregg Williams. 

Although I'm sure Payton knew about it and turned a blind eye. Kind of how Joe Pa did with Sandusky. Different situation, but guilty by association?

No decent human being would allow that to happen under his watch. I mean, that's nuts. The players who took money you'd think would be shunned by their fellow players, too.

 The Minnesota miracle was just bad defense, that safety was out of position on that play , That would never happen to a bill belicheck coach defense or any DC that knew how to play that  in that situation

I think it was more along the lines of saying fuck you to Greg Williams and NFL knew Sean covered his ass as best he could before they brought the heat. Its like PEDs. Seattle with the Legion of Boom were all on Peds with n scrutiny vs other teams.

As far as Pats go? They rank 8th in D. Broncos? 2. and with Sean coaching? it's a system. Can Stroud play in it? Because pretty much any QB can play and succeed in a system. See Matt Cassell take over for Brady. Patriots arent winning. If they do? Theyll lose in the SB by 20+. I GUARANTEE it!

Patriots have ball hawks that van have Stidham seeing ghosts like CJ last week. But it's in Denver and Sean Payton will have a plan. I just don't like the guy. Im team Russell Wilson

he is 17-5 with a back up QB pretty good for an over rated coach

 Regular season games with Ted bridgewater and famous James Winston, what’s his record in the postseason with a back up QB , it’s not to good with starters after that one Super Bowl run or before it 

Winston and Bridgwater only started a handful of games with Saints both were 1st round picks and started for the teams that drafted them and were pro bowlers before they ever got to New Orleans where Drew Brees resided so of course they were "backups" since he was there.

 Yeah but he was the 1st guy he got when he got to Denver and paid him to be the back up, could have gotten anyone. He likes him has confidence in him and unlike NE knows what he can do in this system.

 its also apparent, he made the broncos into a powerhouse in like what 2-3 years? hes building somethin in denver for sure. i dont even like bo nix, hes not really flashy and i dont think hes that talented but hes coached by payton and it works for them. with that being said, i think he can have stidham manage the game and let the defense do most of the work which they are more than capable of doing.
