Saddens me to see lack of participation here vs 10-15 yrs ago

With tomorrow being opening Sunday,the lack of activity,posting surprises me. Guess was spoiled by the old days. So much good content, active  engagement.  Grateful for the ones here who still take the time to share,etc .

If you can get past the trolls and naysayers and know who they are (I Do) then it's worth it to post for the well wishers and respected posters on this forum as I know who they are as well.....good luck this NFL season fts 

Agree, been here quite a while. It’s not like the past when Gucci Capper and others had solid picks and interesting stories, now, with the exception of a few good people here it’s polluted with fictional wagers, fictional lines, fictional records and every game is a lock or GOY

Same w CFB. Both were awesome. Everybody benefited.  I know I learned a lot and certainly helped me in my attempt to secure that elusive edge. 

Funny I wasn’t even going to logon but I figured with opening day tomorrow I’d stop by…. Ghost town here compared to old days 

More bettors wait till closer to game time than before. Smart IMHO.

Most of those people are broke and stopped  betting or have passed away. Despite their short attention spans time to the new generation.

Considering the migration to social media, I'm actually surprised Covers gets as much traffic as it does. The funny thing to me is that a lot of people still use offshores here, even though sports betting is legal on apps in so many states now. 

It's Saturday night, and you've got a page full of picks already. That looks pretty decent to me. 

I don't post a ton. Actually very superstitious, so I don't like doing that. But I, like many people apparently, just lurk around and check what other people are saying. This site brings value that you can't get from a 100 character social media post. 

Last season was the end of the times here it seems.

 It brings a tear to GucciCapper’s eye when GucciCapper read this.  GucciCapper is still alive and kicking (only 40 to be honest) and still living in South Korea.  GucciCapper hasn’t posted on covers for a few years but GucciCapper has been anticipating this day for months.  Obviously, GucciCapper was on the Ravens when Andrew’s dropped that 2 point conversion in the Playoffs and GucciCapper will be on the Ravens today for a bit of redemption.  

Back in the good ole days GucciCapper would wager a bitcoin or two on a game.  Now GucciCapper is dropping .4 BTC on the Ravens ML today.  Best of lucky boys.

I'm still new to this site but have been posting online for the past 25 years and handicapping for the last 35 years. Since the introduction of fantasy football I've seen less handicapping and way more who "ya gonna draft" conversations on these sites. I've never been able to give fantasy football any creedence because it's the exact opposite of handicapping but I am definitely in the minority on that.
