Vanzack: I have been watching you in both college and pros and i have a couple of questions for you.
1.What is the major difference in capping college football vs pro football 2.I know this is prob to much to put in 1 sitting, but what key stats and tools do you use to cap a football game? 3. Do you put any stock into public % when betting on a game? 4.Do you follow line movement when considering a side to a game?
Thanks ahead of time and i really respect your capping abilities
And BTW - while I am on a roll - handicapping is about the worst talent I have with sportsbetting. Im not so good.
I have said it time and time again here - I make money by squeezing every penny out of every bet, and only making what I consider to be smart +EV bets. My MM is airtight.
So I make money handiapping at a very attainable 55%. If it is more, all the better. But I am not a handicapping wizard - there are many here much better if you are looking for a pick of the day.
But I will tell you that I make money longterm. I know how to do it. And it aint by getting hot handicapping. IF you have the skill and can be both - great - all the better - but given a choice - I would rather practice how I do than be a 60% capper with no knowledge of all of the other skills.
I make relatively more going 55% than most do going 60%, guaranteed. And thats just through discipline, learning, and practice.
I never met a hater better than me. I am on twitter

Pitt has too many key injuries to be going into tonights game big headed. Baltimore is better than alot of people think. I'll enjoy watching this one. Baltimore by 10 or more.

I saw it, but didnt want him to think I was hijacking his thread.
I dont bet hockey, but any ML sport should be bet the way I suggest IF YOU WANT TO FLAT BET. There is no difference between ML in baseball, hockey, or footballl for that matter - IF YOU WANT TO FLAT BET it is the true definition.
Ok sounds good Van thanks. So through out the baseball season you just Flat bet correct?
How did you end up doing this baseball season?
Sorry I don't mean to sound uneducated about this, but honestly I never knew what flat betting was before reading your post. Looks like it takes a little bit of math skills lol.

I have read all your various blogs and think that all the Math you put into betting is well placed. Although I don't agree with your hedging theories. I agree with everything else. I actually use your flat betting spreadsheet to bet Tennis and used it to bet Eurocup over the summer. I wanted to know if you will ever make a blog/post about shopping for the best juice around (you mentioned this in your betting manifesto post)? If your not willing to post this is it possible to exchange emails I want to learn how to shop around and increase my profits. Also you betting any EPL or just sitting on the sidelines with soccer for now?

I have been trailing your posts for sometime now, and although you have a certain "stubbornness" about you, I do feel you bring great insight to this arena. I understand your secret is getting "value" in the long term, but what about making the most in the short term? Over the years have you ever been, as the say "hot" when it came to capping games? What are your numbers, "gues-tamation" of course. lol I just want to get a feel from where you are coming from. Do you have an iside leg up like everyone else, or is this just to make money. Best Bets, Strong Bets, Good Value....you don't seem to include any of that on your posts. Please keep it up though, because me and many other people on this sight are trying to find the best games and make the MOST $$$$$$ we can!

Juice reduction strategies are very complicated and require skill that is obtained over time. There is the obvious stuff - like just shopping for the best line available - that covers a big chunk of it. If all you did was decide who you want to bet, and then got the best line available - you got it licked. MOST DONT DO THIS.
If you dont "agree" with my hedging position - you dont "agree" with mathematics. What dont you agree with?
I bet EPL every week. I never post because of the difference in available lines. I just get tired of betting Tottenham PK -125 and someone comes in who bets Tottenham to win and gets mad because it was a push. Most dont understand the difference in bets - so I dont post weekly - its a losing battle.

Im honestly not quite sure what you are asking - but I will try to answer.
I dont bet EVER for short term. Not in my vocabulary, not part of my strategy. Im like a retirement 401K investor at the age of 35. I look for a longterm upwards slope.
I bet to make money, PERIOD. I dont enjoy it. It is a job. I take it very seriously. It is not entertainment.
I dont have "10* lock of the weeks". I bet one unit, 2 units, and very very rarely 3 units. Everything is carefully considered. Im somewhat of a robot.
Boring - but it works.

And a sure 100% Bet of the Century is that if that is in fact him in the picture, he has not gotten some warm snatch in a VERY VERY long time...
But...I like his pick! Go PITT!
Once again, everyone please ignore my wife. While parts of this are true (the snatch part) I assure you that I dont bet with wagerline and it is me in the picture, and if that is me in the picture how do you explain the monster roll I have in my hands? 11 Jacksons dont just fall out of the sky!
