Its cutlers body language, his mannerisms, his eli manning facial expressions, his interceptions, his fumbles, the way he can't feel pressure, the way he doesn't know how to consistantly step up in a pocket, the way he sits his helmut on the top of his head, the way he celebrates td's by himself, the way he'll try squeezing a td in on 3 and 15 at the 20 (and get picked) for his own personal accolades then to take the 3 points, the way he was so quick to pull himself in a nfc championship game knowing damn well the bears have THEE worst backup quarterback to ever recieve a paycheck
anybody see philip rivers in the playoffs in 2007 play with a torn acl?
anybody see drew brees play this year with a torn acl?
some of you need to put aside your OBVIOUS HOMERISMS that you show on a day to day basis and call a spade a spade

Ya, after the benefit of surgery and a weeks rest. Did you see him grab the bench the week before the same way cutler did? He needed Billy Volek to get him to that afc championship game because he couldn't do it himself. Somehow Rivers is a hero for this and Cutler is a quitter.
anybody see drew brees play this year with a torn acl?
No. It was an mcl. Likely grade I which would be a lesser injury than Cutler's.

Heres the thing he did try to ply hurt he came back in after the injury and you could see he wasnt even close. He threw a ball into the ground you could see he couldnt plant so why have him stay in if hes not effective. They made the right decision as Hanie almost pulled off a miracle
I understand he came back in...The "funny" thing is his game really didn't change....it didn't look any different....nonchalant...unenthusiastic.....still throwing INT's .....For me, a Bears fan, it is more about his lack of character than anything else.....I never want to see players get hurt, but it is a violent sport and it comes with the territory. Some guys are just "tougher" than others.....The game wasn't going his way, so since he was already mentally out of the game, he may as well be physically out of it too.
Does anyone remember Garrison Hearst?.....Played his entire final season at GA with a torn ACL.....and didn't even know it. Tough man....great football player.....not to mention the hell he went through with the ankle injury.....I digress.....

I understand but when a guy sits on the sideline and pleads to continue and his coach wont let him theres nothing more to say.I am by no means a Cutler fan as matter of fact I have been on his azzz all yr but this time hes getting way too much flack.Brady should have been run out of town years ago when he went out early in a championship game and didnt continue

Yes, acl is worse. But he also had the benefit of surgery and a weeks rest. Otherwise he doesn't play. Cutler didn't have any such benefits.
I don't know why he's so hard to cheer for. I don't need a cheerleader playing quarterback for my team, I need someone who wins games. Cutler won 11 of them this year while taking a beating and playing his ass off. He also doesn't cause controversy and his teammates clearly have his back. Good enough for me. I can see a Cubs fan finding it difficult to cheer for Soriano, I can't for life of me see how a Bears fan can find it difficult to cheer for Cutler.

Well, after all this shit which he knows is all over the news and net, he decided to go to dinner on Sunday night after the game, no crutches, etc. And he was seen walking up the stairs to his private room when there is an elevator to go upstairs.
Don't get me wrong, the guy has the right to go anywhere he wants too. But does that make any sense at all when all the shit is going on? Its sort of like flipping everyone off and basically saying I could give shit what the fans think.

quarterbacks don't need to be cheerleaders to be successful but they damn sure as hell need to be a LEADER,,,,in both WORDS and ACTIONS..............
you can't judge the guy solely on numbers you find on espn........you have to watch him week in and week out to know what i'm talking about here.....but to each their own

I do watch him week in and week out and I watched him get the shit kicked out of him only to get up and try again. I watched him take sack after sack, refuse to slide, lay blocks. He went to the wrong bench in the Giants game because he was so fucked up from his concussion and he still fought to stay in the game. He played against the doctors advice last weekend. How is this not a leader? Besides being a cheerleader I don't know what else a leader has to do than play as hard as he can despite the beating he may be taking, win games, have your teammates respect, and never throwing a teammate under the bus despite probably having the right to do so at times. Cutler did all of those things. The W's in the win column, his actions on the field, and the respect he has in the locker room proves he's a leader.

You're as bad as the media. Cutler shouldn't have to cater to the public because they're too stupid to understand the facts. Besides these people's minds are already made up. There's nothing Cutler can do to change these minds. He has the right to go out to dinner with his girlfriend. All this story is is trying to find another way to shit on Cutler after the previous ways were proven wrong with facts. It's pathetic really.

You don't get what I am trying to say. I could care a less where he goes or what he does. But, he is a public figure in Chicago and it is pretty dumb on his part to be out partying on Sunday night when all this attention his on him.
Man, where were all you Cutler supporters throughout the year? I never read one positive thing on Covers about him, till this incident. Now all you guys are his greatest fan. For the record, I have been a Bears fan for the last 30 years and guess what I have supported him.

Going out to dinner with his girlfriend is not the same thing as going out and partying.
I've been a Cutler supporter all year. You won't find one negative post on him from me. I can guarantee that. Some Bears fans may long for the days of Craig Krenzel, Jonathan Quinn, Henry Burris, Chad Hutchinson, etc. But not me. I know what the Bears have with Cutler that they haven't had in a long long time and that's why I'm a supporter.
