Whatever...he's still soft....and not a very good leader
He doesn't help his case when he is running down the sideline giving high fives.
And yes I know the difference between planting and just running down the sideline.
But you are talking to a goaltender here that played half a season with a almost completely torn MCL and knee that was held together with a brace.
Some of us are just like that

mcl sprain can be anything from a slight stretching of the ligament to a full tear. treatment can be anything from a little ice to surgery.
hard to say how bad cutler's injury is without knowing what exactly happened to his ligament or how much he paid the radiologist to at least put an mcl sprain on the mri report.

You guys crack me up all the BS that is on these threads and I post shit that is actual news worthy and are actual reports and you get your panties all bunched up. Your the same ones all year long that were ripping on the guy and now you rush to his defense. I have supported him for the last 2 years, but I don't anymore. He could have helped the other QB's, he could have shown some emotion instead of just sitting there. Every QB in the league would have offered their support to their teammates, but I guess not Jay. And now you think that is ok. Give me a break.
New Report just out Cutler has Grade II MCL tear
Ok, so he was injured. I get it, he couldn't play. Does not diminish the blatant lack of enthuasism he displayed toward the game or his teammates. Which has been his trend all season long.

Considering how many coaches, managers, players - including outspoken leaders like Urlacher - are adamantly defending this guy, I'd say he's actually looking like quite a leader.
Cutler's problem is that he's quiet. He could've been a f**kin p***y and grimaced the whole time. He didn't. He WANTED to play out there.
Maybe he didn't play well. That's another story. But he's got a leaky offensive line and horrible WRs.

I agree, Cutlers biggest mistake was showing up at all. Im not much of a bears fan, but if I was Id be pulling for Haine to start next season. Hats off to him for coming off he bench and playing his ass off. He almost lead a massive come back that Cutler would never have been able to do. Pease dont take this as bashing, as a New England fan my pride is smashed too. Just stating the obvious

For the people ripping Cutler, please give me a list of players that have played with a torn/sprained mcl?
Here is a start......I guess you could say he's a halfway decent player.

The last comment I will make on Cutler. I don't think we will ever know exactly what happened. Are the Bears doing damage control or did he really have a Grade II tear? It doesn't matter at this point. Bears lost and its time to move on.
The aspect of this which is interesting is how all these current and former players ripped the guy. To me, this is the worst part of this entire ordeal. I thought the NFL was suppose to be a fraternity, band of brothers or a gang. I don't know if any of you guys have ever been in a fraternity but you don't do shit like this. You always have your brothers back no matter what. I would think this has to have the commissioner worried a bit. Even Jimmy Johnson ripped him, unreal.

sprain is very vague diagnosis unless it's defined to which grade sprain it is.
Grade 1 very little damage to joint or ligament usually involves stretching of the ligament NO tearing w/ some swelling and pain.
Grade 2 involes some degree of ligament tear possible joint involvement surgery not necessary moderate swelling and pain
Grade 3 complete disruption of ligament and probable joint involvement surgery necessary due to probable joint disruption and complete ligament tear
without defining Cutler's grade of sprain it can be assumed it was a grade 1 sprain if no tears were detected on MRI which confirms the fact he is a box and he should have been back out there especially considering it was his MCL which many a player have played w/ Grade 2 sprains in the past
