Ya you have to assume that Edelman is going to be on Cruz. I mean, he was on Boldin and noone else is showin up to cover his ass. He'll get help on everything but those long drag routes which take time so if the Pats can get pressure they can at least contain the big play from him. With Nicks back you have to assume McCourty will be on him due to his size. Arrington on Manningham is what I would guess.

You never know though from Bill Belichick those slot receivers/tight ends were doubled alot of the game. As a Pats fan I'm nervous about their efficiency on 3rd down defense. They forced 17 3rd down situations against the Ravens and Balt converted 9 of them for over 50%...it's what plagued them last year.

Patriot defenders led the league in interception opportunity % and if Eli just goes chuck-n-duck like he does so often the Patriots will catch balls that the Niners didnt.....

Cruz most effective on 3rd down

you really think that with  two weeks to look at film and prepare for the giants that bill is gonna put edelman on cruz one on one? i think you guys should be smarter than that. and dont compare what the giants defense did to san fran when comparing to how they will match up against the pats, alex smith was lost and scared to throw to anybody except davis who by the way torched the giants even with then knowing he is the only weapon in the passing game. the mistake the pats made the last superbowl against the giants was they were to stubborn to throw screens and run draws. expect wr screens to welker and branch and screens and draws to green-ellis and woodhead to counter the giants pass rush. pats offensive line is great at screen blocking and i see some good chances if they execute right. giants will get there points, manning is playing great ball and has lots of weapons but pats defense is playing much better with chung and spikes back especially in the run d. they held rice to his lowest output all year and wilfork is playing like a beast. i think this comes down to which linebacker group plays better filling holes and covering tight ends and backs out of the backfield. think its going to be a great game and cant wait till next sunday.

Arrington left in the second quarter, I don't have the status of his injury but that's why you saw so much of Edelman.

    I just saw this.

No doubt Gronkowski is a great TE and Welker is a good slot receiver and Hernandez is a very good pass catching TE.

However do you know what Brady would do if he had Nicks, Cruz and Manningham

    I just saw this.

No doubt Gronkowski is a great TE and Welker is a good slot receiver and Hernandez is a very good pass catching TE.

However do you know what Brady would do if he had Nicks, Cruz and Manningham

Don't get me wrong, I think the Giants MIGHT win the superbowl again.... but if you take a look to last game they played against..... the giants won a very close game cause of 4(!!) turnovers by the pats.... that won't happen again! pats had about 80+ yards.......

thats why i don't know why the giants get so much love?! they won against a bad playin (wr droppin) GB team.... give them credit for that.... forget about the fools from atlanta.... the 49ers have NO offense... the are so bad on offense, i had to laugh all the game... their D destroyed the giants.... that's goin to all the giants lovers who think the giants will destroy the pats... ravens have been more of a contest!

If Brady had cruz, hicks and manningham he would set td and yards records nobody would ever touch. Hell he had 5000+ yards just from welker, gronk and hernandez
