I cant decide between these 2 teasers
eagles-7 / over 35
OR
Vikings +21 /over 35
Wht do you guys think? Thanks in advance guys!
Superfig, That was already a 7 point teaser. My line is -14 nd o/u 42. I could only get higher points if i picked another team.
Hmmm... seems to still be mixed opinions.
I do like your post fortune. lol Its actually what got me to take another look at me bet. I was all about the -7 eagles until i read it. Its hard though because I won last week on the bears vikings game and imo the eagles are a higher scoring but have less effective DEF. im pictureing the game going very similiar which could be dangerous with only +21.
Also, i know this is a noob question but with a teaser bet.. if i hit on the over but the i push with the eagles only winning by 7, does the whole bet push or lose? **I have never made a teaser bet before**

Could you please elaborate on why I should stay away from teasers? It seams to drastically help in some cases. especially after reviewing some of my past losses.. If i had done them as a teaser, i would have won a lot of them.
I mean.. I can see the obvious downside which is that you have to bet both the total and the spread.. rather than just one, but shouldnt the security aspect make up for that?

Gotcha, that makes a lot of sense.
To be honest, I know the smart thing would be to wait for a better spot to use a tease. Its just I really cant stand the numbers in this game. Normally i would wait till sunday and make much better / more thought out bet. The only reason Im betting this game it do to the fact i will be at an office party in which everyone bets and dont want to be the odd one out. So now im left with the decision. Bet the 14 spread or tease *which seams a little safer but requires me to add in the O/U
Fig, what do you think of just a .5 teaser to make my bet eagles -13.5 ? and stay away from the o/u. would that be a better use of the tease? It only slightly reduces the payout.

Sorry for the mix up there. I have been betting on average 4-5 games a week for the past 2months. I was going through a friend to do it all. It wasnt till about 2 weeks ago that i decided to cut out the middle man. All I ever did with him were straight bets and parlays. Everything else is new to me... Progressive parlay, Round robbin, Teasers, Buying points.
In your opinion... How do you feel about buying points? Any strategy involved for when to use that? Would buying tthe .5 point on this bet be good to take out the push?

Superfigg is right it's not a good long term strategy but getting half pointed fucking sucks.
I use a local so it's a non-factor but when I use an offshore book on spreads like 1.5 or 2.5 I'll just take the MONEYLINE and lay the juice.
