Its incredible. Like its the playoffs lol
This is what makes the nfl so hard to win. So unpredictable with the 4th downs and 2 pt conversions. No coincidence it happened when legalized gambling exploded.

These other coaches wannabe Dan Campbell hahaha. Punt the damn ball and trust your solid defense to get it back in 3 down. Omg ![]()

Exactly, punt and play the field position game!
Instead, go for it on 4th from your own 45...now 7 zip and have to play from behind.
This game feels like it can get out of control in a hurry!

There are times to go for it on 4th down. That does not include on your side of the field on the first drive against a superior team.
But these coaches very rarely admit their risks so it will continue.

Your the last one to be giving advice with your track record on this forum there kiddo.
Ask Dan Campbell about all of his 4th down risks this year and how that worked out.

Okay I'll bite.
1. Its the playoffs
2. Its the first drive of the game and your inside your own 45 against a team with a top 5 offense.
3. Yup they went for it all year. It resulted in a 8-9 record. Yup it worked out great.
Hopefully that clears it up.

You keep up with the hateful rhetoric and I just don't understand why. Its your go to for some reason. Not necessary as this is an adult form and we are having an adult conversation.
Analytics has its benefits but its given many coaches a cheap excuse to go on every 4th down.
Again I bring up the fact that Analytics have resulted in Dan Campbell sitting at home and Carolina finishing 8-9 (so that would be less than 50%). Last time I checked, Bill in New England didn't need it. Neither did Tony Dungy. But they clearly were missing out.

Why even bother paying coaches millions of dollars a year if you're just gonna go off of analytics.
Might as well fire the entire staff and have AI generate you a playbook and do the playcalling, and just never not go on 4th lmao

Teams are a combined 1-4 on 4th down. And on 2 of those, it resulted on the other team immediately scoring. Its hurts more teams than being benefical.
