Houston should move off of CJ Stroud now

They are wasting a great defense waiting on him to get better. Houston doesn’t need a savior, they need an average quarterback who won’t bake/make turnovers every big game. The time is now before the big extension. Give Malik Willis or Davis Mills a shot.

Totally agree. I was on Stroud's side for years but after this game, I can no longer support him as the Texans' starter. A game manager can take that defense to the Superbowl IMO. I wish him well though. 

I think the kid deserves 1 more season.  Year 4 is the make or break year - if you make it, the game slows down, which would benefit his playing style.  He's got all the potential in the world - he's demonstrated good leadership and has a decent football IQ.  I could see him and Ryans teaming up to make a couple of SB runs over the next few seasons.

He is owed one more year at 11 million. Texans made out not signing him to a long term deal.

Positive and optimistic take for the kid, I'm not sure Stroud will be up to that challenge. But yeah, give the kid one more season to prove himself.

 CJ Stroud is not a super bowl winning QB no matter how great their defense is. Malik Willis impressed the hell out of me when he subbed for Love a GB. I think the Houston head coach is to nice of guy to tell CJ to kick rocks but it is definitely better for the team.

 No way U move off CJ , the offensive line needs help , plus his top 2 wide receivers were out and Joe Nixon & tank dell & Dalton shuxt were all hurt , this kid took Ohio state to the national championship in college and deserves a few more seasons, Dak , Lamar and Josh and Herbert are still getting chances , well Daks problem is Jerry 

They should go get Allen w Josh and that d, Ryan runs they would be favorites instantly to win it all

Stroud couldn’t complete a dump off to a back or hit a wide open TE 15 yds to the sideline. he was a complete basket case on Sunday. The worst that I have seen an NFL quarterback perform ever. I don’t know if it was the snow or the nerves but this guy was a total basket case. 
no way you can build a team around him. And he just had this dumb look on his face like he was spaced out. I swear to God he looked like he was on drugs or something

 He’s A man of faith, like the Indiana QB , shows how much U know, what about them getting some offensive linemen to block for him , no QB can perform with no blocking, ask Patrick when he lost that Super Bowl vs Tampa Bay when he was running for his life U sound 

Stroud really missed Nico Collins in that game.  Most young QBs struggle without their safety blanket and Collins serves that purpose for Stroud.  He's going to continue to learn and grow and with his athleticism, the sky is the limit.

Not sure how anyone can defend CJ at this point. He’s just not processing what’s happening around him. He can’t complete simple throws. He immediately panics when the play breaks down. And these plays where he just wildly throws the ball up for grabs are ridiculous. It’s completely unacceptable for a 3rd year professional who’s had all of the first team reps since day one. I strongly believe that Houston could have beaten the patriots had they benched CJ at halftime. I truly believe he is suffering from the concussions. 

Acquire offensive line help in the off season, promote Mills to the starting role, get all of the starters healthy, and start over next season with a top tier defense and outstanding kicker.

 I agree with the part about the concussions and everything U said on the very bottom paragraph, 112 percent agree, just change the line to David mills stays the back up and CJ starts, I’m defending him bc  2 bad games should not disqualify him from keeping his job, if CJ goes then Josh Herbert, Lamar and Dak needs to be benched too 

I wonder if Stroud fully has gotten over his past contract concussions he seems a shell of his Ohio st days

Think he is just pointing out that there are quite a few good QBs that have not even been to the SB either.

 The reason I have Lamar is the fact yes he has won 2 mvps but hasn’t made it past the AFC Championship game , so yes he’s suspect like U said

Yea I like Cj but something happened to him in these playoffs. He deserves another shot. His faith and character will get him back on track

It’s hard to not put blame on him that’s for sure! 

Then again they did him no favors 

So one dimensional in that game without not just Nico but Dalton went down early as well 

Trent brown didn’t play & Tytus went down early (returned played banged up) 

Woody & Chubb combined for 37 yards on 20 runs 

The D was able to pin there ears back & CJ was a sitting duck 

ever since he returned from the broncos game he’s barely used his legs at all. When he has it’s been safe wide open lanes & str8 to the sideline runs 

The kid is uber talented it zero doubt about it 

You don’t fluke your way to the semi finals in college while being a Heisman candidate. Then become the #2 overall pick win rookie of the year. Then lead a franchise that was just miserable for 3 seasons in a row to 3 str8 playoff trips including 3 playoff W’s 

I usually would say not to overreact to one bad game but he's done this too many times. No other QB has won a playoff game where they have fumbled 3 times. CJ has done it, because of his defense. It also kept them in the game so many times last week.

I'm sorry but in big games you have to go with guys who don't make mistakes.
