I wonder if Belichick will leave to coach the New York Giants? If Kraft tries to force ole Bill to start ole Brady for another season, he might jump the shark...then Josh McDaniels would get his chance at last to get the big chair. Old Bill might have a Jones going on with Kraft over this situation??? Brady needs to get real but his ego prevents it. Old Tom is becoming a caricature of himself and is starting to muck up his legacy. The perfect time for him to step aside would have been after he beat the Rams in the super bowl last year but no...he wanted to fart around til his mid 40s. The evil wizard was setting parameters in his closing press conference about how he would not answer any questions about the future...he said it was the perfect time to evaluate the past...WTF???????? What about onto Cincinatti? His schtick had been about always the future but now with looming questions about Tom's future he needs time to evaluate what has transpired??? I call Bravo Sierra...
To add to what you are saying about his ego, problem is that at least 5 million people and all the media still believe he is still elite and one of the best. Realize how no one is blaming him for this season? Suddenly all the blame goes to role players when Brady has been known to "make players great"? Realize how all the commentators still talk about how next year he will just come back and play harder after losing in the wildcard?

Lighting rod issue ... For some... Lets play devil's advocate ... Just to name a few retired NFL players who have gone on record and called Brady the GOAT.. These players have no tie to Brady and could have called ANY QB the GOAT.. Lets see ... Guys who played the NFL at the highest level and called Brady the GOAT.. The just may know just a little more then you and me about QB play in the NFL.. Ed Reed.... Revis Island.. Deion Sanders.. hmm.. who's who of db play.. Von Miller... Ray Lewis.. Strahan ... no names not... Randy Moss.. Jerry "freaking Rice"" think Jerry knows QB play.. Irving.. Wayne.. QB's.. Tarkenton.. Rodgers... Favre.. Theisman.. These were just to name a few.. not all.. lets see a who's who of hall or Fame PLAYERS....or me and a bunch of guys watching on TV... Hmm... tough call.. Remember these guys could have named ANY QB the GOAT.. Rice no Montana.. Revis ... Reed.. come on man its not a no brainer but to say he is a systems QB..LOL..

Ya, leave the 30+ million per season on the table. I know I would...
Kraft would be the only owner to offer him double digit money IMO, and it won't be 30 million+. Brady's 2019 salary was 23 million... Why would the Chargers want his old a$$ again? They have had enough of old QBs way past their primes with Rivers...why would they desire that nightmare again?
because Brady will sell season tickets for the new stadium. Vegas and LA are the only cities his wife would want to move too as well.
He’ll get a 2 yr deal for 60 M. Somebody will pay it because he’s Brady and because there are owners out there who will...

He's an old man, if he goes somewhere and is terrible it proves zero lol. He'll be an old man on a new team, garbage team like the Chargers if anywhere and the only possible scenario for that is him looking terrible. It's a huge credit to the guy that he can still trot his old azz out there and play every week and never get hurt, truly incredible. And system or no system, as an old man he just took a team with extremely limited talent and not one single deep threat, a crap receiver corps, no great running back, and led them into the playoffs. It wasn't old Tom that couldn't run the ball in from the one yard line with three tries. The team is crap, he did a great job of game managing that team every Sunday. Of course he'll stick around too long, they all do. Perfect scenario for him is to sign for one year with the Pats, his farewell tour. The Pats sign some actual talent on offence, hell maybe Gronk comes back for just one season, and they have a good competitive season, go back to the playoffs and lose a thrilling game, and he walks away. It won't happen like that though.
Little if anything I can add to this. The guy was the best QB to ever play bar none. There may be better ones in the future, but not now. He's way past his prime and should shut it down even though he's more than competent. He's just not a game changer anymore.

I believe Brady is extremely high maintenance! Patriots adapted to his needs as years went along but I dont believe he can just walk into another team and demand what he's accustomed to and not get resistance. Also the game is passing him by with qb's with speed and agility commanding the leagues direction. Brady needs to ride his beautiful wife into the sunset!

The Point is clear. Brady would suck on another team, its an opinion, (don't have to prove it) and you don't know what the word "cliché" means..lol

Brady never passed the eye test...A dink and dunker and a checkdown Charlie Marino could zip balls anywhere without moving his arm, the ball literally looked like it was shot out of a cannon when Elway threw it and Peyton Manning's field generalship will never be matched.. always getting into proper blitz protection and changing into the perfect play every single time...
Brady? eh...Nothing

You know I always thought that myself! Nothing against Brady but him and Marino, Elway, Burt Jones, Tarkenton, Favre are different styles of qbs and the latter didnt play mostly within 15 yd. throws. They were all over the field utilizing the whole field. Brady pretty much being non mobile was limited to the out passes and quick throw schemes! Nothing against Brady, he was good for the game but he's far from being the GOAT in my opinion!

Agree to disagree this IS NOT a popularity contest far from it this is NFL players evaluating QB play from a players standpoint the questions was not who is the most popular it was who is the GOAT and the players on that list are strong willed man not sheep for God's sake.. To each his own... gl in the future

What about Brady on the Buccaneers with all those receivers problem is Brady is good but slower than he used to be which means he needs a team with a strong oline..
This is the problem, people are questioning the team Brady is going to before they are even questioning if Brady can still play at a high level...

Of course their questioning the team, he's a god damn senior citizen who did not have mobility as a strong strength to begin with, you're expecting the old fart to turn some 6-10 team a porous offensive line into a playoff team all by himself? He needs a really strong cast around him and a team that can protect him if they are going to have success. The dude is gonna be 43 years old in training camp, cut him some slack man.
Cut him some slack?
What your explaining is called, its time for retirement.

Buddy everyone in this thread is saying it's time for him to retire, the guy you responded to was just speculating about teams he could go to because we all know he is not retiring, they never do until they stay too long, just the way it is. But obviously he would need weapons around him and a strong offensive line to have any shot of success, and if he did have those things he could probably still get some stuff done. It's the end, everyone knows that. He said he wants to play until he is 45 which means we have two more seasons to watch this play out. It's fun to speculate, where the old geezer is gonna play those last two seasons.
I guarantee you 75% of people do not think it is over for him.
