The public consensus on covers was all on carolina...and the
'real' betting public was near 75% on carolina. You need to realize just b/c you saw most of the big name posters and a few others in the covers NFL forum on denver (including myself), that does not mean that was the majority bet for the U.S., much less the betting public world. Every one and there mama was on Carolina tonight, that was the PUBLIC bet. If you were indeed taking numbers at one time, you would certainly understand that already. Scared of 7 hours in jail, are you shittn me...people spend more time than that for a fkn dui.
Man up, get you some balls, learn how to gamble, and quite wasting people's time reading this sht.

The obvious given should have been when a line moves 4-6 points in the other direction from the home team that 'was' favored, then naturally the 'public pick' is on the other team.
Come on mannnnn..........
The only reason I'm even commenting on this thread is b/c I've seen a few others say the same thing about this 'public pick' tonight.

Okay
In this case yes, you faded a sharp bet and placed a square public bet and lost.

All DenverI'm shockedGuess I'll play Carolina for 550
And yes I'm quoting myself here
Read the subject matter I clearly said in shocked. Shocked as in I couldn't believe it. I was 100% sure they were all going to take Carolina And all but one guy took the Broncos.
I had no choice. Go with proven losers or fade them.
I chose to fade them as I always do and always will. In the long run Seasons end I will be here with a profit shown. Will some of you? Come on Lets get back on track here. It was one game and the public got theirs

Regardless of where the 'money' was, Denver was always the correct side based on 'perception'. We discussed this in a previous thread regarding game fixing. You told me you believed going against public perception was a way of identifying the fix... This new thread is now a perfect defense for my belief that fading perception and fading money are two completely different approaches. I do not fade public money, nor do I try because I realize the reported numbers will always be skewed (unless you have a bookie you trust to divulge accurate figures - and I do not). It is easy however to identify public perception in most cases, including last nights game. This game had the exact same perception surrounding it as did the SB. Carolina is gonna roll, etc, etc... I (as well as you) am the public and I trust my own perception to guide me in these matters. Having the balls to go against my own perception is where the failure often occurs (but not last night). Remember, if a pick seems to easy, it probably is.
BTW, this year all of my monopoly money picks will be available for review on the King of Covers contest page.

Hey Mafioso, I think this was a case of your cousins volume of clients being too low. There are many Vegas book managers who do podcasts and many online books on twitter who all said they were getting hammered by Carolina money. Many of them saying it was almost all public money and that Carolina was a huge liability for them (meaning then needed Denver big time). Please dont read this as arrogant but, Carolina was the clear cut public side last night and it wasn't even close.

j-walk....very well stated, I was just about to say the same thing. Just b/c it's 'one bookie' does not in any way represent the masses. My main local guy has been for years and still does add points to 2 games every week, no matter the spread bc he knows it doesn't matter who they play or what the numbers are, the betters will still take those 2 teams (one college and one local pro team)....every week, it's a location thing. Many betters around the country will just bet on a team bc they are going to watch the game and want that side to win, regardless of spread or what the best bet would be for that game. Most bet with their hearts and not their heads, and you just can't do that and win constantly as we all know.
But hey, Nothing but love and good luck coming from me...Hope we all make some $ this season

I get what your saying jwalk I do But here are the points everyone here seems to be ignoring. 1) these guys he books are proven losers 2) fading these guys has been profitable in every sport except the NBA playoffs this last season as it was favorites galore. 3) These guys have a notorious track record of being awful
Truth be told as I stated I was shocked I hate favorites Can't stand favorites It's a suckers move for me to lay the favorite. I was convinced they would take Carolina So I could bet Denver.
Now, was the fact that these guys bet Denver enough to get me to against what I wanted?
You bet your a$$ it was. I don't care if I love a game If I see 18 out of 24 of his clients on one side or in yesterday's case 23 out of 24 I'm going against what I want.
And I'll post here in an attempt to help out.
I took money from the suckers for years booking. This is my redemption
Giving this type of info is gold and over the course of a season will make people money or sway them away from bad decisions. I also preach flat betting.
Guys Like me or not I'm more of an asset here than a liability towards your money.

Keep posting mafioso. I have a bookie feeding me picks and I want to compare them to yours. He needed Carolina last night also. I was going to play Denver big until I saw you and him on Carolina so I played it for 1 unit. Sunday and Monday nights should be gold.

Don't listen to these donks, Mafioso. You are providing some of the most authentic and valuable information that any sports bettor can possess. This type of info is easily a 60% winning proposition long term, which is enough to theoretically retire from your job if managed correctly. So thank you for posting.
