My take:  Darnold doesn’t play well in big games (i.e LY with Vikes). Aside from the win vs the Rams this year, he plays like the NY Jets Darnold. All in all, I trust Maye over Darnold pressure wise. Seattle will bring their defense, but if Maye can play a mistake free game (more likely than not), Pats will cover or win SU. 

RKLB. Buy the dip (10X in 3-5yrs)

I feel the same way about Darnold until this season. I think it is unfair assessment especially when Darnold keeps disproving the naysayers.

But that 4.5 points is too much imo. Im leaning with the PATS as well.

I did not expect people to continue making that claim after Darnold submitted his greatest career performance eleven days ago in the what was far and away the biggest game of his life. But, I was wrong about that.

In his three seasons playing under a terrible coaching staff with the Jets, Darnold threw for 280 yards or more a total of 6 times. This season with the Seahawks he threw for 280 yards or more 6 times. I think he's improved dramatically since those 2018, 2019, and 2020 forgettable Jets seasons.

So definitely hang on to rklb even with the big dip. I guess it’s just a bumpy rollercoaster right now. I bought it low but it does get scary watching it the last couple weeks. 

Not saying you're wrong, but after watching Maye play poorly the last 2 weeks in the biggest games of his career and getting bailed out by his defense, Nix injury, bad opponent coaching and weather....I dont really see how anyone thinks Darnold doesn't hold an edge QB wise.....Comparing 2025 Darnold to pre 2020 Jets Darnold is kinda silly.

Also, I just read this "Christian Gonzalez got beat twice in that game once by Marvin Mims and the other by courtland Sutton" when everyone's talking about how great Christian Gonzalez and that he is going shut down JSN.

If that quote is true, then he is getting torched.  LOL

Maye played 3 of the top 5 pass % defenses. Seattle is 9th best….

My ice cream analogy…

Darnold, Sanchez, Palmer…reminds me Neapolitan ice cream served @ So Cal beaches…highly artificial, airy, and overpriced. 

Maye is that new ice cream that just hit the local grocery store shelf. Simple, looks good, and backed by a great brand.

It’s laughable that people can still pull that narrative. Darnold has been playing the biggest games of his life the past month and won them all. 

Not just the playoffs but winning the division as well.
