2007 NFL Preseason picks week 2

I am being selective ...as hard as that may be sometimes
I passed on the opportunity to go 3-0 or 4-1 as it turned out
on Friday.
But I am sticking with my plan and lets see what happens !
Good going for those of you who managed a winning day on Friday,
and best of luck to you on Saturday ...

Actually, my picks are right here for week 2 and will always be clear as I post and update on a dated thread , and never post a phantom line .
You will not see me posting the buying of half points either
( whether I am able to do it or not )
My Trends & Things thread will have a weekly underdog trend pick ,
an ocassional system play, and a barrage of trends and stats submitted by myself and other posters as well.
This information is for any that may find it useful , and
If I play any of those picks , they would be posted in a thread such as this one .
On friday I did not post any plays here ...
I highlighted on the other thread this trend >>>
- ( Week 2 ) --Road Dogs with zero wins are 36-22 (62%)
The teams that fit this criteria were the following :
Tennessee, Atlanta, Minnesota, Houston,
New Orleans, and the NY Giants .
On Friday Tennessee, Atlanta , and Minnesota
all these not only covered but won their games outright.
This leaves Houston, New Orleans , and NY Giants
as the teams that are winless and are Road Dogs on Week 2
If only of these were to hit ..this trend would still hold up as 4 out the 6 would bring the percentage over the 62 % clip.
This preseason I am concentrating on Underdogs though
I will pay some attention to Favs in week 3 & 4
I considered playing the winless Road Dog angle for week 2
( all qualifying teams )
which obviously would have given me a nice 3-0 Friday , but
I opted instead to be selective and let those games play out
while focusing instead on what I considered the strongest play of the 6 listed in the New Orleans Saints
In all , New Orleans qualifies for the following :
( Week 2 ) >>> Road Dogs with zero wins are 36-22 (62%)
Home favorites against better prior year teams are 51-77 (40%)
In a game of winless sides, underdogs are 104-72 record (59%)
These numbers are valid coming into this preseason.
Only the first trend applies to week 2 , while the others
are good for all 4 .
So this is where I am at

New Orleans Saints at Cincinnati Bengals (- 3 ½, 38 ½)
Sean Payton’s first-stringers will play the majority of the first half, excluding Drew Brees, who will work in the first quarter and then step aside for Jamie Martin to lead the Saints to halftime.
Recently signed QB Matt Baker will make his NFL debut tonight, entering sometime in the third quarter to finish out the game. Baker is competing with Tyler Palko and Jason Fife for the third quarterback position this season.
The Bengals' starting offense is likely to be on the field longer than it was last weekend against Detroit, with quarterback Carson Palmer set to play most of the first half. Second-string QB Doug Johnson will come in next, but head coach Marvin Lewis expects him to play fewer snaps than the two quarters he worked in the last game.
With tailback Kenny Irons set to miss the entire season, Cincinnati will use tonight’s game to look at potential replacements – second-year player Quincy Wilson will likely get the start.
