Ya think they are enthused about getting plummeted in the next round? Because they are going to get embarassed.

so they lose tonight and get embarrassed not to lose in the future? makes no sense

 makes perfect sense...OKC is a buzzsaw right now. Was kind of joking but there is some psychology behind it...got to consider as many angles as you can....right? 

I agree looking at all angles but losing to avoid a possible OKC/Lakers matchup would not benefit the League in the slightest...guaranteed if Lakers win and face OKC that game will somehow be tight tight tight

Maybe winning this game tonight is not all that important to some of the egos in the room...maybe we don't get a hungry bunch of Lakers. Oh heck...I'm gonna go ahead and fade most everyone in here and take the Lakers and give up the points. If I lose I already documented my excuse. And best of luck to Spur supporters...wish I could follow.

Neither would a Nats Astros World Series, or a Minnesota Denver NBA finals. But sometimes the league doesn't get what it wants. Sometimes someone messes up the fix. 

@alapaha You were on to something questioning the Lakers! The one thing we all missed was that by losing this particular game not only did they avoid playing OKC but I think the real motivation was they get a ton of time off. Look at their schedule now. 2 games in a week basically and all near home. Had they won they’d be going to Vegas and all that rest is gone. I missed it. You had a feeling. We will get em next time having that info in our back pocket.
