The stakes weren't even that high for the teams in this game. Imagine this, you have a series bet for $2,500 at + money. Your team is up 3-1 in the series. They are playing game 6 at home and are up 18 points at the end of the third quarter. With their star player out of the game, the other team goes on a crazy run and comes back to not only win that game but the series (in 7).

Or how about this one. You pick a team to win the SB before they get there at +300 for a grand (in other words 4,000 payout, including the initial investment). Your team is on the goal line with less than a minute to go. The other team's defense is gassed and on its heels. They have no idea what just hit them. Instead of handing the ball off to their beast of a running back who has dominated the game, and just punching it in for the win, the team decides to get cute and throw the ball into the endzone. The rest is history.
