After reading the article more closely, MJ might have been double teamed more. It comes then to a debate if Shaq or MJ players were better or worse which then let them be doubled more or less.
Would Wilt have dominated in the same era Shaq played in??
Dont know...
Would Shaq still dominate today? I say yes to that one.

shaq was clearly absurdly dominant and unguardable with one guy and maybe he should get mentioned every now and then when the best of all time are discussed but he never really does....the only problem with shaq is that he had holes in his game in that his work ethic off the court was very poor by his own admission so he didnt really add significantly to his game throughout his career and he had one huge flaw which was his free throw shooting obviously....plus i think when the discussions are had it is an unspoken understanding that it sort of alludes the the best ALL AROUND skilled player that was a basketballer by definition ie..could dribble/shoot/pass/defend/rebound and apart from his gargantuan size and mobility oneal just didnt offer much in the way of skills and creativity that the likes of jordan/kobe/lebron all possess....and one last black mark against him i guess is that his prime wasnt quite as long as many others due to injuries limiting his effectiveness the last 6-ish years of his career as he bounced from team to team.

Having Shaq in the same sentence as MJ is where I stopped reading. One was dependent upon others and the other is the greatest cutthroat, all around player who never played a game 7 in a finals and never lost a series in the finals. Guess which one is which? I love me some Shaq but Shaq isn’t even in the top 10 or 15 of the greatest players of all time. If MJ were in present day NBA, it would be scary to see the numbers. I’m sorry but a career 50% free throw shooter will never be in my top 5. Also I would take Hakeem the Dream over Shaq any day. More rebounds, more blocks and he has a deadly mid range game. He got double teamed too.....
