The advent of rules and pace/style of play that allow any team at any given moment to drop 40pts in a quarter changed the game. No lead is safe, no total is safe. It's more akin to Russian Roulette. What a trash product. What's next, the 4pt line?

@StraightWagers
It's a dying league...viewership way down ...some rumors flying about the next TV deal
They had to invent that stupid in-season tourny to try to increase reg season interest ..such a gimmick

Pretty much. You tease the shit out of stuff, and it's still not enough.
Same with NFL, they'll still get you by half a point even if you tease the maximum it lets you on some books.

I guess the new deal kicked in and has expanded to more broadcasters which has increased viewership this season. I forgot they dropped TNT and added NBC and some others...as well as more streaming services
But neilson also just changed how they calculate ratings which has inflated the numbers and skewed the data...which is great for the advertisers and the league selling advertisement slots...basically inflates the numbers to keep up with inflation and the advertisers say "look how many more eyes saw our ads"

Your post amused me becuase Rigged games in the philippines has been like this since 2 decades ago. Teams suddenly forgetting how to play and losing 20pt leads was so common. And guess what they did recently? They did add the 4pt shot! Hahahaha
