You dropped in my thread yesterday warning me about PHX coyotes! I was just so sure they would win yesterday. They are contenders and have a great team with a sick goalie. Stop betting against PHX, I know it seemed like a great spot to fade but no it wasn't. Good luck to you in the future.

Uh oh, the Ok City bandwagon is now standing room only.....
You beat me to it. I haven't bet on NBA basketball in quite some time, but this one wreaks to high heaven, doesn't it?
Mac, I'm usually right there with you on the stars aligning and such. I said so to myself last night when ESPN's announcers couldn't stop telling me how grueling this schedule was going to be for the Spurs the next couple of days.
And watching the tired, defeated looks on the faces of Manu and Duncan, how could you not want to lay max bet after max bet against these old-timers?
I could be wrong here, but this is one the Spurs gotta get. We saw a playoff atmosphere last night in Atlanta, and that's what the Spurs will bring with them tonight in OKC. This will be on of OKC's biggest games since moving to Oklahoma City, and I'm not quite sure I want to take the young and brash against a veteran squad bringing its vaunted playoff experience with it for a regular season game in March.

I love the Thunder -2.5 at half.. They should come out and punch this old Spurs team hard in the mouth
Actually, no, it'll be the reverse. The Thunder really have no clue what kind of effort they're going to get from the Spurs tonight. They got blown out last night and think, "It's fine, we just need to play better tonight." But just better than last night won't cut it in a game where your opponent--your opponent who has multiple rings--will be bringing playoff-like intensity.

Spurs +5, HUGE for me.
Air-freaking-tight as usual, Pete.
Although this is a big game for San Antonio, it's also a pretty big game for the Thunder. If they lose this game they lose the tiebreaker to San Antonio and will fall to 7th just a game out of 8th. While I agree the Spurs have the big game experience this isn't a typical young team, this team really gets it and are better than everyone thinks they are (even though everyone already thinks they're good).

Not at all, Mac. Your analysis was cogent as always. Seriously, after last night's Hawk's game, I were thinking the same things you were. Exactly the same--No way this Spurs team can get up for a game against these young studs.
But then seeing the overall sentiment on Covers, I had to reconsider my position and look to find an argument for why this wasn't at least as cut and dry as I thought it'd be. Ultimately, in the 4th quarter, it was like any other bet--could have gone either way.
