I improved to 4-0 in the playoffs and 13-6 on the season with the Knicks win and cover over Detroit Thursday as I continue to focus on playoff road teams because, as I keep pointing out, there is no home court advantage in the NBA in the playoffs. Another road dog tonight:
1* Pacers +8
I have no knocks on Cleveland at all. This is just too many points. Indiana is on a 17-4 SU roll and is getting far too little credit for beating the Bucks who played with ferocious intensity and got an off-the-charts performance from Giannis. Like the Cavs, Indy is deep and has multiple scoring weapons. It's hard to get a read on Cleve right now because Miami essentially quit in the final two playoff games. Both teams are well-rested with their last series ending early last week but the break benefits Indiana more as its series was way more intense and physical.
Opinion only:
Pacers To Win Series +417 (I actually think the Cavs win but this line is way too high)
NOTE: Unless you're a fan of GSW or betting on them, you have to root for Houston tonight as it would be great to see the two teams that traded for prima donna in mid-season (Lakers and GSW) flame out in the first round. I have zero opinion on the game. Houston is a total overachiever and extremely well-coached.
