im not an expert but i'll share my thoughts on this...
the data you presented was the OLD CELTICS. to date, no PERKINS, 'degraded' GARNETT, older PIERCE and ALLEN, inconsistent RONDO.
For me, it would be a see-saw battle between BOS and NYK. So i'm taking NYK+7. Just my 2 cents. :)
I understand where you are coming from. The Celtics have not been the same since the Perkins trade. However, the Knicks do not have the big, powerful center to give the Celts problems.O’Neal played great in game 1 and the Celtics dominated the boards. They also turned up the defense in the 2nd half and I expect a strong effort from them tonight.Traditionally they do very well in game 2s and the Knicks might still be stinging after that game 1 loss.In the playoffs a 7 point spread is like a 5 point spread in the regular season because the losing team fouls a lot at the end of the game to extend the game or out of pure frustration whereas in the season teams just move on to the next game at times after a loss.Hit the Knicks if you like em I just see a Celtics double digit win.

Dam my local has Boston -8 and the over/under 182 on the ATLvs ORL game. Going with you anyway!
Wow rough lines man.Still pretty close to the numbers I got so most likely we’ll both win or both lose together.I doubt those line differences will make a major difference. BOL

1-1 today boyz for a small +0.5 units with the Hawks under being the bigger play.Celtics proved to me today that without Shaq they have no hope.Up 11 in the 3rd to let an Amare and Billups-less Knicks team back is just disgusting.Hope for better next time.

There’s being sharp and then there’s being so sharp that you might cut yourself.Today I’m riding with aireent777 and the public on my favourite Vancouver Grizzlies. The Grizzlies are in the Spurs’ heads. They have covered every game against their division rivals going 5-0 ATS.What’s even more impressive is that in all 5 games they were without Rudy Gay.On top of covering all those games the Grizzlies have now won the past 3 matchups against the Spurs. The Spurs are on a 3-game losing streak dating back to the regular season. They are playing pretty pathetic defense giving up more than 90 points since February 27th!!!Going up against a very capable Grizzlies team it’s really tough to cover a spread with that porous defense especially when the Grizzlies are one of the top defensive teams in the league.Ginobli is probable and he should play.Ginobli is a great player but you know what the Grizzlies have Allen, Battier, and Mayo to defend him.Inside the Grizz dominate the paint and at guard Conley has the speed to contend with Parker.Ya the Grizzlies won game 1, but they are a very hard working team that rarely ever loses by more than 10 and since it’s a playoff game they should still come out with a good effort here.I will gladly take a spread that is inflated and shouldn’t be more than 6.5 points at best and go with a team that has dominated the Spurs let alone cover the number against them. The line movement is proper in this one and the Hawks, Knicks, and Pacers have all covered the free gifts to the public so I’m riding Big Country and Shareef Abdur-Rahim of the Grizzlies to keep this puppy close.
“They had beaten the Grizzlies on the boards. They committed the fewest turnovers in five meetings with Memphis. Points off turnovers, points in the paint, fast-break points, second-chance points? All season-bests against the Grizzlies.
"If you had told me before the game that we would do all those things, I'd say it was a win," Popovich said.”’
"We're in the playoffs," Hollins said. "It's not important to me that it's our first playoff win ever."

"At the end of the day, we've just got to move on."
But Karl was adamant.
"The ball doesn't get outside the cylinder," Karl said. "It's not even outside the cylinder. So, how can't you see that?
"But that's part of the NBA."
"I don't think we're going to beat this team with shots and execution at the end of the game," Karl said. "We're going to beat them with stops and penetration and moving the ball and finding the open man."
The Nuggets are pumped for this game, but so are the Thunder. This game reminds me a lot of the Mavs and Blazers last night.I think the best play for this game is the under. Both teams shot 50% from the field I don’t think that will continue tonight. After a scorching 135 points in the 1st half these teams cooled down for 49 and 42 points in the 2nd half. The Nuggets are a great defensive team on the road and after adding Perkins the Thunder are a solid defensive team. From Karl’s comments you can see he’s stressing defense and I think with both teams getting two days off to prepare for this you’ll see some great defensive intensity in this one.Durant and Westbrook accounted for more than 70 of the Thunder’s 107 points.I think the Nuggets will slow them down and I don’t think the Thunder have other primary scorers who can pick up the slack. These teams have also played twice in the regular season recently and those game went under easily. At 206 I think we are getting great value for the under especially with these teams having trouble consistently putting up 50 points for 4 quarters.

"It's always a challenge, but I feel like we can do a much better job," Kobe Bryant said Tuesday after a second straight lengthy practice day for the Lakers.
"Our defense, I thought, was late," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "I think we were late on everything. They were the aggressors, and they stayed aggressive. ... I think they respect the Hornets. I just don't think they were keyed in on what they have to do."
The Lakers are doing everything to stop Chris Paul and will be ready to go on defense with a big game for the season tonight. With 2 days off to prepare for the Hornets after a wake-up game loss for game 1 the Lakers should be ready to go in this one.The Hornets are still a solid ball club who play great defense so I think the under is safer than backing the Lakers side.Kobe will play but I mean with a sore neck and Ariza and Green all over you that won’t be an easy take to score a bunch of points. The Hornets can really play D along with the Lakers.Just got a good feel for the under.
