I still respect the guy, cant blame him for wanting more money....especially being quoted as "One of the best athletes"!

Kids still look up to him as a role model, he plays great basketball.....however, when he did the "Decision", that was a little too much, then again, how long ago was that, and he hasn't done anything like that again! I understand though, fans either love him, or hate him...comes with the territory I guess!

Kobe stayed on and took on the challenge of a Lakers rebuild post the kobe/shaq, and he took a team of straight scrubs to the playoffs on his shoulders....and then he went on to win 2 more titles with Pau and SCRUBS....dont ever compare Lebron with Kobe....he is great but NOT GREATNESS.

LBJ doesn't need anyone to defend him because there is none there to be defended. The same can't be said about Kobe and that is coming from someone who dislikes him very much for his "decision".

Hawk what dont u understand bro?? With the no state income tax in florida it came out to peanuts. Hardly a pay cut at all. And kobe mite have been frustrated and demanded trade to force managements hands but did he leave??? No he stuck it out and rebuilt and went thru the tough times. Lebron just wants everything easy. He wants to just keep bouncing to better situations and how can that b respected?

FACT: (I just found this out, and if you don't believe me, go look it up for yourself)

LeBaby currently earns $58,132 per quarter PER QUARTER!!!!!!!!!!!

So, when Spoelstra sits him because Kawhi Leonard is schooling him to the basket in the third, or defending him like Siafu Ants in the second, he gets $58,132????

    $58,132?!?!?!?!?

    What The FU**!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    REALLY?!?!?!?!?

Jesus H. Effin Christ. When you break it down to actual "product" versus "output", what are we talking about here? One guy? One "ohhhh, I'm cramping while I earn $58,132" guy????

FU** LEBABY!!!!!!!!!!!! AND FU** ANY TEAM WILLING TO TAKE ON THIS "ATHELETE"............

Seems to me the Spurs got it right........

Jimmybeam hes the best player in basketball not really getting your point. Break down Kobes pay per quarter for sitting an entire season. Or Derrick Rose? Heck break down any player and what they make per quarter. If you don't think Lebron is deserving what athlete is. Please enlighten us?? Durant... Cuz hes one a ring right? CP3....Hes never even been to the conference finals. Melo...Never been to the conference finals. So whose worth that money if Lebron isn't????

Don't really get the argument regarding his compensation per quarter. By that logic your beef really needs to be toward guys like Rahasrd Lewis or Joe Johnson of yesteryear. Of Amare Stoudamire during his entire tenure as a Knick. That's just the market. While we're at it can be breakdown what an Albert Pujols at-bat rate is?

Fact is that this is likely his last chance at a big contract. If he goes for a 4-5 year deal he will be a dinosaur the next time he has an opportunity. He's already stumbled. Game 6 of 2013 NBA Finals he was giving it away with bricks and turnovers. Even tossed his patented head band in the stands. It took a miracle by his teammates to carry him. But he has carried that franchise and the Cleveland franchise before them. He is the complete package, but Father Time will come calling soon.

Lebron made over 70 mil this year lol. 16 or 20 mil a yr whats the difference. So he makes 66 mil instead of 70 lol. Im not against lebron wanting max but i just dont understand it. That extra money will never make a difference in his life. He will eventually b a billionaire. But hey if he wants max he def deserves it.
