How "hurt" is KAT?
Thats's question one for me...
My initial thought was to bet NY to not get closed out at home (like everyone else) until I started reading about the unprecedented historical run the Pacers have been on over the past two post seasons, averaging 116 points and nearly 30 assists a game. AND they've been limiting turnovers. These are numbers we haven't seen since the '76 merger and to me - this stuff is consistent and sustainable in any venue.
They're 11-3 this postseason, closing out both of their other series in 5. They beat the Bucks in 5, then they went into Cleveland and closed out the one seed on the road.
It also feels like Tibs is being outcoached by Jim Carrey, who don't forget, has a chip already.
The logic I've heard for the Knicks is that it's the Garden and there's no way they lose there tonight. One TV talking head actually used Timothy Chalamet and Ben Stiller as a handicapping angle....
But would any of us imagined they'd lose both games one AND two there? I know, they lost game 1 on a miracle but they put did put themselves in that position.
Also, I could see a scenario where KAT doesn't finish this game... as much as I hate to say it. He looked pretty hurt the other night and we learned this is a chronic thing.
To me, it feels like the war of attrition catches up with New York.
Give me the points (up to 4.5 now) and the money line with FACERS.
