4-1-2010 NBA: Gimme The Blazers for April Fools' Day

Went 2-3 last night.  Wrong call on BOS, but man, am I gaining ever more respect for my beloved OKC.  Now on to one single Thursday play, and it's surely going to be a small dog despite DEN's recent woes...

And why not?  Portland and Milwaukee are the only teams with close to an outstanding b2b record, at 14-3 and 15-3 ATS respectively.  And lest you think Denver's going to have this easy because Portland is playing on tired legs, remind yourself that no Portland starter played in the 4th quarter vs the Knicks after they held a 32-pt lead going into the 4th.  So even if they're slated to check in at their Denver hotel at 3:00 am, I'm not betting on the Blazers to fold in this one.  They've just clinched a playoff spot with this victory vs NYK, and that might just be inspiration enough to charge on vs a Western rival.

Denver is not near as bad as they have been playing. They have fell all the way to 5th in the west. This one is a tough one to me, and a no play.  Good Luck tonight Borat.

The only thing is if they lose as dogs on the road they do not cover the spread either.  With that being said I still like Portland tonight.  GL                     

Denver strikes me as the type of team that could let this slip into their head(s) and start playing tentative and pressing, especially without their coach and best defender.

Could very well be breakout game for denver to get back on track.  With the back to back blazers, player injuries, and Denver needing a home win with home crowd, I love the over more and more.  Also like Orlando big and lightly on Nuggets -4.5.  GL all.

Sure, Denver's concerned about not falling further down the Western seedings, but the ability to do something about it is something totally different.  The Blazers, Bucks and Thunder have one thing in common: they are very good back-to-back, they're young and motivated, and they don't give up when they're up big or down big.  I can't say the same for lazy veteran teams like LAL, DAL and DEN.  If your only rationale for taking DEN is because they're going to bounce back because they're mad about losing 2 straight and 6 of their last 10, look at LAL last night. 

May the better bet win, gentlemen
