Some of you know I'm a Rays fan so I don't bet a lot of outcomes in games they play but I'll jump on a total in a NY minute, played the Under first 5 and FG Saturday (not posted) and I don't see alot changing tonight with Schlittler going up against Freddie Peralta, the AL September Pitcher of the Month. In his 5 starts then, the Rays won every game, they've won all 6 of Peralta's last 6 starts and he only gave up 3 ERs all September, 28 IP and the last 4 were against Philly, Boston, Atlanta, and Houston, all playoff teams.
And as good as Peralta was in September, Schlittler wasn't far behind posting a 1.20 ERA then before completely dominating the Red Sox last week. He's a beast and as a Rays fan he scares the hell out of me.
Tampa would luv to get a solid 6 innings out of Peralta and their BP is completely rested with Rasmussen dominating Saturday and Baker having an easy 9th inning save. On the other side I'm expecting a "Rasmussen" like performance from Schlittler, 7-8 strong innings. He has 3 starts against the Rays this year, 16 IP, 5 ERs and 21 K's but 3 of those ERs were in his first appearance against them much earlier in the season.
It's playoffbaseball and Unders are the rule and not the exception. Yanks hit only .235 this season and had the 2nd leastamounts of hits in the Majors while the Rays hit .258 with the 2nd most hits in the Majors. But you know what they say, "good pitching beats goodhitting," and Schlittler is better than good. Gun to head I'd probably take the Yanks for the "W" tonight but regardless this Rays team has something special about them, they have that "it" factor. Yeah I may be biased but that's a completely unbiased statement, (Iswear!) they'll be playing in the WS in a couple weeks. Shortage of runs tonight at the Trop, again-
Under 6.5, -105, HRB
Couple props I played too, little fun bets
Schlittler K's Over 7.5, +130 HRB
3Team parlay, +180, HRB
Rays total runs, Under 3.5,
Total runs 1st 5, Under 4.5
Schlittler K's, over 6.5
As always good luck to all!!

For me the under is the bet here. Both pitchers has been dominant, maybe a question mark for PERALTA because the peralta's met can appear but what he had done in september is quite imppresive.
This is from PredictEM!:
"
Cam Schlittler is the entry point here. The Yankees’ Game 2 starter went 14-6 with a 1.95 ERA, and he’s been even better away from home, posting a major league-best 1.16 road ERA with a 0.74 WHIP, a .153 opponents’ batting average and 129 strikeouts. In his postseason debut against Boston, he threw 6.1 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts in the Yankees’ 9-0 win. He has a 2.81 ERA in three starts against Tampa Bay this year with 21 strikeouts in 16 innings.
Freddy Peralta is pitching at the same level right now. His season numbers (10-11, 4.42 ERA) don’t reflect what he’s been since the Rays acquired him from the Mets at the deadline. Peralta went 5-0 after the trade, posted a 0.79 ERA over his final six starts as the Rays won all six, and has a 1.69 ERA and 0.75 WHIP in four starts at Tropicana Field. That’s a pitcher who ended the regular season locked in.
Game 1 set the tone. Drew Rasmussen held the Yankees without a hit through 7? innings, and Jonathan Aranda’s solo homer was the only run in a 1-0 Rays win. New York didn’t record its first hit until the eighth inning. Two days later, the Yankees face another pitcher on a roll in the same building, while Tampa Bay faces the best road starter in baseball.
The risk to the Under is Ben Rice. He posted a 1.320 OPS with seven homers against Tampa Bay in 51 plate appearances this season, nearly double his home run total against any other opponent. One swing from Rice could change this game. But with both starters capable of going six innings and both lineups facing pitchers who are at their best right now, this sets up as another tight, low-scoring game. The Yankees will need to break through against Peralta, and the Rays will need to do something few teams have managed against Schlittler on the road."
So I'm with you @mrusso and good luck tonight!!!
