Rough evening, but still got my forehead above water.
Cleveland Guardians -1.5 +135
Messick has been the best starter the Guardians have had this year, and the Twins are the 5th worst offense in baseball vs lefties. Guards bats caught fire last night when they beat up Joe Ryan, and face a much easier challenge tonight vs a bullpen start for the Twins. Their bullpen is very bad, and they used a handful of arms in it already last night. This has another beat down written all over it.
Boston Red Sox -104
Gotta ride the momentum here. Bradish doesn't frighten anyone, and when you're riding as hot as the Sox are right now, they can beat anyone. Small price to pay for a much better baseball team, at home, trying to break a franchise record for wins in a row. Game may not get played though due to rain.
Mets/Brewers Under 8.5 +100
If the Crew have a weakness, it's hitting lefties. And Thornton has been great when called upon. His last 13 IP have yielded 7 hits and 1 ER with a 12:3 K/BB ratio, and zero long balls. Sprout hasn't been that good, but he's been good enough to get to the pen with a chance, and let them do their thing. The Mets offense continues to be a problem.
Washington Nationals -1.5 +134
Rinse and repeat from last night. Lorenzen has been hit as hard as any pitcher in all of baseball this year. This Nats line up should feast in the altitude.
