Bet the line not the game. The casual bettor will be sucked in by the points I made above. A team ‘needing’ to win in MLB doesn’t work like in many other sports where the margin between say a grand slam and a fly out is so narrow

The bet might not win. But the ‘desire’ angle is a fallacy here
