We have the makings of a great pitchers duel to end the first
half as Skubal takes on wheeler in Motown today. Wheeler is
9-1 with a 2.28 era on the year and has allowed 2 runs or less
in 11 of 14 starts. Tigers are 5 for 31 against him with 15 strikeouts.
Skubal is 5-4 with a 3.06 era and has held phillies to 6 for 35 with
11 strikeouts and 0 hrs. He has 8+strikeouts 4 games in a row
and allowed 2 runs and 6 hits in his last starts with 18 strikeouts.
These often go wrong when it looks 2 easy but ill ride under 7
here.

I think with Miz dropping out of this start with dead arm
Skenes will shine today vs brewers a team who he has held
to 12 for 64 with 20 strikeouts against them. He has been meh
for awhile but i believe in him here. Gasser has gone 25 innings
allowing 17 hits 7 runs with 5 bb and 21 strikeouts his last
4 starts as he has finally showed he is getting it together.
Give me under 8.5 in the early sunday start after double header
yesterday.
POD # 3 - RAYS UNDER 8 -115 - 10 UNITS
Seymour has gone 23 innings allowing 15 hits
7 runs while striking out 31 and walking 2 since
moving into the rotation. Facing a Struggling mariner
lineup he should rack up the strikeouts today. Hancock
has had a very solid year for Mariners holding Lefties
to a 206 avg with 56 strikeouts. He had ended the
1st half on a solid note dominating the Jays in his
last start. I expect we will get a solid performance
out of him today. Both bullpens should close it down
and hold this under 8.
