Salary Cap Question

Guys,

Is anyone in favor of the proposed salary cap? I think the salary cap has pros and cons but I'm against it. Sure, I would I like to see my hometown Rockies have a better chance. But The Rockies owners don't care about winning. They care about buying cheap and selling high. Colorado has been a farm team for many years, that's all they care about. So, what do you think? Is the cap a good or bad thing?

The thing I like about a team and follow them is when the fave player is there year after year.

Unlimited budgets lure your players you liked to follow to the highest bidder.

Salary cap wouldn't cap the $$ players can make on endorsements, right?

I'm mixed on it too. A hard cap can help markets that never spend, but it doesn't fix an ownership group that treats the roster like a farm system, which is the Rockies point in the original post. What I'd rather see is a real floor tied to revenue so cheap owners can't just pocket the savings. Until then the big-market clubs will keep buying timing, and mid-market fans will keep hoping for a miracle window.
