F5 – Reds +120 Singer/Keller
Yeah, I know, probably crazy to play for a road sweep by a last place team against a natural rival, but there is much here that does not meet the average bettor’s eye. Singer has gotten progressively better in five straight games. I don’t know what has made that difference but it is undeniable. Normally a very average chucker he has literally caught fire, and I will look for the Reds to somehow handle the first five. If the Pirates come back and win, to avoid the home sweep, it will not surprise me, and I want nothing to do with either of these teams in a bullpen game.
FG – Padres +123 Sheehan/King
Back and forth series, as it probably should be, but King has it all over Sheehan, and the offensive probability is very close, with the Padres holding a slight edge in this particular matchup. Home dog on a getaway day can’t be all bad!
