Schwarber, Harper, Turner and Realmuto all have HRs off Holmes. Holmes can’t strike people out and his pitches get hammered.
The Braves need to think about throwing Suter as an opener. I doubt they will.
Regardless, you can’t expect Holmes to pitch to that lineup. It’s a disaster.
Weiss won’t have Fuentes available. If he throws Dylan Lee again he’s an idiot. The slider didn’t slide and you clearly cant keep throwing the same pitcher against the Phillies. Schwarber and Harper had seen 16 sliders from Lee in 2 days. Managerial malpractice of the highest order.
Either way all the pressure is on Braves and they are not in a good spot. Hitters aren’t hitting. Braves are extremely lucky this series isn’t already over. Holmes is not the answer. Even on short rest I like Wheeler/Nola combo.

Nola vs. Kerr/Holmes, and Atlanta is deliberately setting up Kerr to neutralize the top left-handed part of Philadelphia’s order the first time through.

I think I addressed that with Suter as the opener.
I didn’t think it would be Kerr who’s off Tommy John with zero playoff experience. I actually like it more with this setup. You’re going to see Holmes. It could be a lot sooner than later. Kerr could go 3, but it also could be a disaster.
Phillies are playing with house money. No pressure. Braves have the monkey on their back and their hitters aren’t hitting. Acuna 0-6. Olson 1-8. Harris destroyed Atlanta offensively in Game 2 and while they may get to Nola, I think Nola rebounds from his last start.
Bet Atlanta. IDGAF who you play.
