The more I look into this braves game the more that funny feeling in my gut peaks. Look, Atl HAD to win game 1 with sale, at -195 the market reflected this and I was on them and I feel like I got lucky. So atl did what they had to do. Theyd be dead in the water if they lose Sales start. I dont think phills are dead by a long shot. Their two best pitchers are up and they still almost won game 1. I think they come out pissed today and get one back. ATLs offense wasnt too impressive, a Riley fluke bomb late. Harper's went foul. Its baseball it happens. Mahle has been in good form but he is no Chris Sale. No way hes holding them to 1 run late into the game
Lots of great points on the site today that favor atl, phills shite bullpen and Sanchez numbers against them, and the stats on game 1 winners of the series, whats not to like to slam atl as a dog?! Despite all that Vegas sets Atl as a home dog? They aren't charging you anything for the braves in this advantageous position?
Not buying it, that dog dont hunt
But ill bite on Phillys taking game 2

Getting plus money on the home team with the specific matchup edge is where the value lives. The Phillies’ ML favorite pricing overweights Sanchez’s overall numbers and doesn’t properly account for Mahle’s September dominance over Philadelphia, Sanchez’s own struggles in September, and the Braves’ home advantage.

Value doesn't translate into a win on a day to day basis. "Values" only value is long term. If your a numbers trader like Vanzack then yes you take the braves everytime because today's result will not matter over time, hundreds of games of choosing it every single time is where it will pay off. So if you gamble like that then absolutely yes take the value with ATL no argument there.
