Let's start the week off with a couple of wins!

Since the Phillies began the season losing 19 of their first 29 games and cost manager Rob Thomson his job, they are 17-4 following a loss. If they're playing the same team that defeated them yesterday, they're an awesome 12-1 with nine runline wins. The only failure occurred on May 20th when they followed up a 4-1 home loss to the Reds with a 9-4 loss. Since then they've won 9 in a row when facing the same team that beat them yesterday.

With today's horrific effort in the books, Christopher Sanchez, regarded by some but now fewer as a great pitcher, now has an ERA of 11.57 over his last 3 road starts. He gave me the same kind of dismal performance twelve days ago in Washington when I had the 1st 5 innings under 4 runs. He allowed 5 runs in the 1st 5 innings and I lost the bet 5-0. 

I don't like him.

Old man Salvador Perez entered the game batting .202 but Sanchez couldn’t get him out, giving up a single, a double, and a homer.
