MLB Thursday (6-25)

Travel day for most teams so I will go with my top 2 picks …. (Yesterday, I hit 2 of 3).

Philly (44w) vs Wash(41): two good teams but one must give Philly the strong edge(pitcher at 1.8 era, 121 ks - dam good), Philly wins !!!!

Yankees(48) vs Boston(32w): another good pitcher for NY(1.7 era, 109 ks), Yankees win.  

I’m  trying to figure out the root cause of Bostons weakness, they have 639 hits, but their RBIs and HR are sub-standard vs opponents.

years ago, one player I loved to see at the plate was Ichiro (Seattle), that dude didn’t have HR POWER but he can get a base hit 4 of 10 times.  If Boston can get base hits INSTEAD of trying for a HR everytime….. it might help get more wins.

Dont get me wrong about HR, I loved it when   
- Sosa, McGuire, and Bonds were “juicing”, all 3 were going for 70 HR EACH !!!!!!
