MLB 9/29: A Day One Dog

I skipped the regular season in MLB, posting only one dog play (it lost).  Ready to attack the post-season where favorites are often overvalued.

This seems like a tossup to me.  The Phillies staggered into the playoffs while Atlanta was on cruise control after clinching the division.  This is a new ballgame.  Sale was the second best pitcher in the NL this year (behind the incredible Miz) but Luzardo was at least as good down the stretch.  Luzardo in the final two months of the season was 5-0 with a 2.20 ERA and his ERA in the final month was 0.54.  I'll take him as a dog at this inflated number.  Betting action has already moved this line down and I think this game is 50-50. Value on the Phillies
