The Mets fired Carlos Mendoza today, and as of right now, they still haven’t officially listed a starting pitcher for tonight Popcorn 

Ya that looks right, from everything I’ve been reading, it looks like Zach Thornton, but with the manager change and all the moving parts…

I’m definitely interested in this game. If Thornton is confirmed and Philadelphia rolls out a full lineup behind Wheeler

Mets will be much better without Mendoza.  Just kidding they will still suck with a very high payroll.  They should get a bump with a new manager but it won't be enough in this game.

There is at least one team every year, usually more, that can't hit when they pitch, and can't pitch when they hit. Such teams become losers whether the score is 1-0 or 10-9, they just always manage (find a way) to lose. It becomes endemic. Scratch them, they are not going to significantly change, new manager or not. At this point good players are looking for a way out, not rejuvenation under any circumstances.

 I think yanks lost yesterday with no earned runs given up… I played em and lost.   As usual.  

Mendoza is no Bruce botchy however, Stearns is the architect of this sinking sack of shit ship. 
Stearns has to go and grow a pair and hire Backman
