Today quite possibly could be Max' final turn taking the ball.
As a Jays and Nats fan( former season ticket holder) I am glad he won a WSvin Washington and in Texas ( my college classmate Dayton Moore had the brains to sign him).
Along with All the Strikeouts , the No hitter June 20th, 2015 vs Pittsburgh- awesome to be at it..my 3rd no hitter...near perfect game but Kang took a pitch on the arm top 9...he leaned in, Max was an intense bulldog competitor but the nicest guy off it.
I run an events business and did a few for Ryan Zimmerman and Max came with his kids..they and Jayson Werth were nearby neighbors with Ryan.
During the pandemic, ran into him at Baskin Robin's as he and his daughter were getting Butter Pecan for his pregnant wife Erica .
We talked about the no hitter game and he thanked me for being a ticket holder.
He & Erica are Big supporters of the Animal Welfare League and if this is the end, Congrats Max, enjoy your home in Jupiter Fl..stay away from Tiger Woods if he is driving..lol.
Just a genuinely good guy who happened to throw a baseball better than most.
Props to his old buddy and the pride of Chesterfield Va Justin Verlander...another excellent pitcher.
