Is this a possible hedge situation?

Got the dodgers midseason at 1:26 and put 50/1250.  Is this a hedge situation? If so what would be an appropriate amount?

Sell your entire profit on the Sox. Dodgers got home only because Counsell is a moron and Brewers couldn't bat on the road; Red Sox suffer from neither malaise.

Then you're sitting pretty. Just wait before game 1 starts and place Boston to win WS.

I dont have the odds yet but Boston will favored. Just to make it easy to understand just say Boston is even then balance it.

1250/2= 625 + (50/2) =650 on Boston

If Boston wins of course you win 650 -50(you put on LA) = 600 net

If LA wins then you win 1250 - 650 you put on Boston = 600 net

I dont find that hard to believe because LA made a great second half run and they played some very good teams to end up 20 games over .500

At 81 games they were 5 games over .500 and 2nd in rank behind Arizona who was 13 games over .500.

After LA wins game 1, then if you insist on hedging, Boston will be a +dog or at worst near a pick for the rest of the series and you can hedge then. 

If there is a fix(only way Boston wins) then he has more -odds on Boston to cover.

When you see a sure deal...take it before game 1 and lock it down NOW.

Not hedging before game 1 makee it that much harder to claim any kind of significant profit. Pray LA wins game 2 (well possible with Price going) then, again, take advantage of the Red Sox odds before those road warriors get to play in LA.

Price did great against Astros. I think he will try to perform the same after getting praised for it. He basically won the game for Red Sox on game 5 against Astros. Don't forget guys, if Dodgers can hit Price, Red Sox will hit twice harder on Ryu. Game 2 belongs to Red Sox again unfortunately. This serie wont last more than 5 games. 

I meant fix on game 1....and viewing the game there wasnt. Boston just outplayed them...

I also think fixes in sports are rare...but have witnessed them.

Like Lebron vs the Lakers last year(maybe 2 years ago?) passing up 3 uncontested layups and passing out to 3 point shooters who clanked all 3.

6 points lost by not taking the layups. If you shoot 40% rate at 3 pointers(which is on the high side)....you would net 3.6 points( 3pt shot x 3 = 9 x .40  =3.6)

Cleveland purposely let LA cover which I was amused by being on LA.
