When in Florida ALCANTARA has turned around his
season going 7-0 with a 2.98 era his last 7 starts striking
out 40 in 48.1 providing length in his starts. He is coming
off one of his best starts striking out 8 in 8 innings and holding
as's to 1 run in the bandbox in cali. Hopefully we get his best
tonight against a guardian lineup that doesn't have much
experience with him outside of Hoskins. Messick has turned
in an ace quality season shutting down the likes of the Dodgers
phillies cubs braves rays and brewers and holding them to 4 runs
23 hits in 35 innings with 40 strikeouts 12 walks and only 1 hr.
That's 6 teams with the best records in the league and its where
he did his best work. We will see what he does against a hot
Marlins team who has no experience against him. Going under 7.5
We are not all backwards down here, although I will say there are pockets of the state that may have some questionable beings. That said, show me any state that does not have same, whether in the open or hidden.
POD # 2 - RAYS UNDER 8.5 -109 - 10 UNITS - florida part 2
RAYS UNDER IS 9-4 LAST 13 AND 5-2 Last 7
at home. Martinez starts for them and he is one of
those pitchers that you just can't figure out how he
does it. He has a 2.61 era on the year and has gone
under 8.5 to the tune of 13-4. He has allowed 3 runs
or less in 16 0f 17 starts and 2 runs or less in 13 of 17
starts. Castillo under is 2-0 last 2 and he has pitched
to a 2.72 era in his last 7 starts as he has started
to turn it around. Going under 8.5 here.
Teams usually grow more motivated when some unfair obstacle makes getting to the next city difficult. Not just in baseball, either. The players don’t want be left feeling that the obstacle made them lose.
