Sandy Alcantara has the clear starter edge over Cal Quantrill.

Quantrill is making his first start of the season, which hopefully creates early rhythm issues 

Texas is without Corey Seager

Miami is at home, where this spot sets up better for Alcantara

The Marlins should be able to pressure Quantrill early with contact, speed, and stolen-bases

Miami has been in strong June form, even after Monday’s loss.

That’s the breakdown. Nothing crazy or overcomplicated.

I’ll be honest I used poor money management and got a little aggressive on this First 5, so fingers crossed 

18 pitches is a little high, but the only number that matters there is 0

That was a shaky first inning, no doubt

Nice grab tumbling into the screen in Miami to escape the jam.

Texas had 2 hits and 1 walk in the first.

Pederson singled, Langford singled, Jung walked, and they left 2 on base.

So Alcantara definitely got hit/pressured early

Needs to settle down 

Rangers are making solid contact. No swing and miss stuff so far from Alcantara.

Sandy Alcantara won’t be happy until the Rangers score first.

At least that’s how he’s pitching.

That’s the danger spot.

First and second, no outs  now we need weak contact or a double-play ball. No walks, no free 90 feet. Even one run isn’t death, but we cannot let this turn into a crooked inning

Bases juiced, no outs… oh my God.

Quantrill needs to start throwing uplike he ate bad gas station sushi.

Now we need Alcantara to stop the bleeding and give us at least one clean inning.

Quantrill has already shown Miami can touch him, so the Marlins need to keep putting balls in play and force him back into traffic

Bottom 3rd, 1-1, Quantrill already looks hittable. Give me a leadoff guy, steal a bag, bloop, gap shot, bad throw, anything
