I've been a Tiger fan since 1961 (yeah I'm old). By far this organization is terrible. It's been going downhill ever since Chris Illitch took over the team. Scott Harris seems to be happy just getting band aids to put on the roster (Maeda, Miller, Flaherty, Canha, McKinstry) and so many others (guys who are just minor leaguers at best). This whole roster is just brutal. Hitters who they say are the future are making the future look bleak. Parker Meadows was so far under the Mendoza line that Mendoza was laughing his butt off. I'm still not convinced Torkelson is a major league hitter. Yeah he had a great 2nd half last year, but if you look at what he's done prior and since, there's not a lot to be excited about. Going into tonight's game these were his stats.
BA .211 HR 3 RBI 17 K's 44
At this pace he'll end up with HR 10 RBI 56 K's 146. Not to impressive.
The team as a whole strikes out way too much. I understand that's the game today, but you would think managers and hitting coaches would teach these guys to cut down on their swing with 2 strikes. I watch games and I watch guys swing on back to back breaking balls at the ankles. There's no excuse for that.
1 thing I would really like to see is Riley Greene during the off season, learn how to drag a bunt. Another lost art in Baseball.
If you're a Tiger fan or not, tell me what you think.

You're welcome. Mike Illitch died in 2017. When he was alive both the Tigers and Red Wings were consistent winners. Wings made the playoffs 25 straight years and the Tigers from 2005 to 2016 were a playoff team or close to being in the playoffs. The thing most people didn't like was most of those years Dave Dombrowski was the GM. He traded away a lot of young talent, but he got some great returns. In 2007 he traded away Andrew Miller (who had a pretty good career and Cameron Maybin, along with 4 other players for Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis. Now they've gone the other way keeping young talent. Only problem is the young talent can't hit MLB pitching. Parker Meadows who looked good in spring training was hitting .096 when they sent him down. He struck out 32 times in 32 games (the only thing he did consistently. Now he's at Toledo hitting .271 but still striking out a lot(14 times in 12 games). tonight 1 for 6 1 HR and 2 K's.

Made the drive out from GR with my family to a game in the mid 80s at the old ballpark. Great experience but I was probably 5 and only remember a few things now.
I thought there'd be better things to come after Miggy leaving and freeing up 30M. Hey its not Nate Millen/00 Lions bad. Still I might continue to fade them. For live bets, they always try hard to get a 9th inning run in when they're down big, but not today. Still worth the +money risk. I knew they'd play well vs Dbacks but playing like this vs a solid hitting team like NYY, Cle and KC will be embarrassing. Hopefully not as bad as Detroit was vs the Indians 2019-20.

Again Torkelson is 0-3 with a K Top 7th. I really hope they trade him. I think he's just a bust. He's never gonna get any better. If I ran the Tiger organization I'd get every hitter Ted William's book "The Science Of Hitting". I read the book summer of 1971 and really understand pitching and hitting. Guys today are free swingers looking fastball, and non of them can hit a breaking pitch.
