Brewers Game 1 of a series

Brewers have won game 1 of their series 19 of their last 21 series 

Game 1 wins in 5 series in a row and also had a 12 game 1 winning streak during that stretch.

I understand Ashcraft is pitching tonight but the Pirates are a mess in the bullpen so once Ashcraft comes out good luck.

The Brewers are 17-1 in series openers since May 8th with the only loss a narrow defeat in Atlanta behind Jacob Misiorowski.

They began the season losing 4 of their first 5 series openers at home, but have since won TEN in a row. Their next home series begins next Friday vs. the Marlins. I know if I bet on the Brewers that day I can break that streak. I know I can do it. I believe in myself!

So the Brewers this season are 11-4 in home openers and 13-2 in road openers. Pretty freakin' great.

By making Pitt a favorite its making some people think twice "maybe pitt is the right side bc why are they favored"

 They have the way better pitcher and offense playing at HOME

I can think of a handful of pirates games where thats been the case that ended up with a L 

With the exception of their March 30th home loss to the Rays which followed a win over the White Sox the previous day. But the rest of their series opening losses did follow a loss.

 Sidenote on this game, With Braxton Ashcraft on the mound the Pirates are 12-5 and (15-2) over/under since April 5.

MIL has played well in PIT but will fatigue be a factor?…

Since their last off-day:

MIL has played 14 games last 13 days (four parks including home) while
PIT has just played 3 games in 3 days (all at home)
