I absolutely think this is a tragedy and have said that on another thread.
In relation to tomorrow's game, one of two things will happen. They're grieving and baseball will be the last thing on their minds. They get blown out and no "fairytale" win (for lack of a better word)
OR
Texas essentially gifts them the game.
The way I'd play it is sprinkle a bet on each team at the alternate lines -2.5 or -3.5
Hedge 2 results and should profit.
Just my thoughts.
Think they might retire his number as an aside.

I agree. In the past, I've seen the angle where it's a non player (a team mate's cousin, brother, sister, mother, the coach, coaches son, coaches daughter) etc) who MAY have influenced the organization/team but to see an actual player themselves, who is currently on the team (not a retired individual) deceased? I would think that the team would be emotionally compromised and would play worse, not better due to their grief.

Clearly y’all haven't played a sport nor does this kind of situation make them play worse. The last thing the angels are going to do are come out and play like absolute shit losing a teammate the day before. Their going to come out tomorrow with a full mindset on winning this game for that man. Win or lose their gonna give it their all tomorrow. My moneys on the team that will be better tomorrow and that will be the angels. Do it for Skaggs BOL

For the record, as you typed this, it was the end of the 6th inning where the score is 7-4 Angels. Now, let's just say what IF the Rangers come back to win, what then? Does that mean the Angels don't care about their fellow deceased team mate? Does it mean that they were so enveloped in their grief that they couldn't focus on the game? No, they lost well, because they lost.
Long story short, we can never actually pin point the EXACT reason as to why a team won or lost. But I still agree with KeyElement about the Rangers putting their ace on the mound, playing for a playoff spot and not just literally handing this game to the Angeles due to a recently deceased member. No, the Rangers are going to play just as hard. Somewhere in the future, somebody may find a correlation between the amount of tickets sold pregame could have determined the winner due to some sort of "butterfly" effect........
Thanks for coming into the Thread AFTER the Angels put up 4 runs in the 6th inning. That makes you a genius handicapper.Another Joker.
I'd make a case it makes him a f&%@ing idiot.

Man did I have a great post for y'all but it accidentally got deleted. I would love to write it all out again but that'd just be a waste of my time. The clown who called the game exactly how it went and faded every single one of you
Well deserved win for the angels, and by far the best team tonight. I hate how I had to take advantage of this game because of the situation... But it really wasn't hard to predict. Too bad minor was only able to last 5 innings. It was an easy sweep after that.
