15 games, 13 blackouts
GOOD BYE

The Cubs game is blacked out on Marquee Network. A service that people pay specifically to watch Cubs games.
How does all this crap exactly work?
What if you paid for State Farm insurance for instance. You got into an accident on July 5th, and made a claim. Then State Farm comes back at you saying "oh we don't cover July 5th, you need Geico on that day"
I swear...![]()

You damn right! I called MLB and gave them a piece of my mind. Talked to a real live person too. Kept the swear words out and nothing personal and she didn't say a word the whole time. Told her I'm speaking for the thousands upon thousands that have an MLB.tv subscription and you wanna let Peacock watch that's fine, but we have a subscription and can't we watch? That's wrong on so many levels. Do I need to say more? I hung up without saying a word more. Not by have a good day or nothing. Just click was the last thing she heard. I did tell her to pass this along to management. I'm not about to subscribe to Peacock but they take too many games away I won't subribe to MLB either. All these differect platforms to watch from pretty soon they all losing money cause people aren't going to bowdown to the blackmail.

I have only the Redzone for the NFL. Pay like $16 and change a month for that, but only the Redzone. No Sunday night games, No Monday night games. No thanksgiving days games. None of that. But the NFL is slowly takiing games away from the Redzone to other days and platforms. But pretty soon they take too many games away from the Redzone I won't be subscribing to that. Thank goodness for football fatigue and not becomiing a slave to the NFL who has more money than God and doesn't need my money. ... If you love college football many games are televised FREE on Youtube. Not all games, sometimes even big games are broadcast, and sometimes the games are caught midstream saying this stream is no more, to paraphrase. My point is, I get enough college football on Youtube for FREE without paying to scratrch any itch I have for college football.
All the over seas NFL games are broadast via my Redzone subscription just so you know. All through the NFL+ subscription.

By the way, all games that aren't broadcast via the Redzone on Sundays are replayed later that day via the NFL+ subscription. If it does not make a difference when you watch those games, like it does me, then Redzone channel is for you.

Owners in all sports have been trying to figure out a way to charge for games forever, throw in the middle men that make money selling the games to us and it was only a matter of time. I did a sports bar in Calif for Hyatt and in 1991 when it opened all games were free, had 3 satellites that I pointed to area and for every box I could pick up anything. There was even a company that we called that gave us the location of every game, small fee can not remember how much.
From 91 until Covid, 27 years they kept the sports bar, from everything being free at start they got together and starting selling us PACKAGES which at start was not bad. I was in a bar in Calif and we had WGN for Cubs and Bulls, WWOR I think it was for Yankees and another for Mets. Not many games I could not get in the Country, but of course sports bar gor popular price went up and when we closed on March 20 the hotel was paying
10,000 a month to watch games. Big reason they never opened again after Covid. Streaming was there gift from God if you believe that sort of thing. Stated off 300 a month and increased to 10,000 in 27 years, wonder if they kept up with inflation.
Super Bowl will be pay only before I Croak. ![]()
