Whats up everyone! How is it going? Things have been absolutely great so far. We had another winning day, going 7-1 and I look to keep this run going.
I wanted to remind you guys to check through my thread for updated versions of my betting card. I add plays through out the day and even sometimes change plays. For example, I had put of SF yesterday but then changed it to dodgers after looking into it further. I guess a few people didn't notice that I changed it and tailed me with SF. I will now put all of my additional plays in bold and increase the text size to make sure they stand out from other posts in my thread.
Onto the plays!
Since I have been literally reading about baseball ALL day lol... I need to take a break. These are the 3 plays I just capped out. I may add a few more tomorrow, so make sure to check back!
Yankees -140
I am actually really looking forward to this game. In my opinion, C.C. Sabathia has just been amazing to wtahc. He will be taking on the Ray's Ace pitcher, James Shields. Now while Shields is an awesome pitcher, he has been riding a losing streak. Sabathia on the other hand has won his last 7 starts.
-Tampa Bay is 2-6 in their last eight games overall.
-6-2 in their last eight games against a left handed starter.
-1-5 in Shields’ last six starts against a team with a winning record.
-The Rays are 4-13 in Shields’ last 17 starts against the Yankees.
-New York is 24-11 in their last 35 games overall.
-New York is 35-16 in Sabathia’s last 51 road starts.
Not only does New York have the hotter pitcher, but they have more consistent bats and great stats/trends supporting them.
Rangers ML +105
Both teams are pulling out their ace pitchers in this game as well. The Angels will put Jared weaver on the mound and Texas will be putting up C.J. Wilson.
Both pitchers have played the other team very well. The differance in this game will come from the offense though. Texas is the leagues hottest team right now. They are just coming off of a 13 win streak, which is the 2nd longest in franchise history. The Rangers have outscored opponents 77-24 during this stretch and their starters have posted a 1.80 ERA. Also, even though they lost by 1 point tonight, they still scored 8 runs in the game. The Angels have had a very slow offense the majority of the time and I HIGHLY doubt that they will be able to put up large enough numbers to compete with Texas 2 nights in a row... especially considering tonight's anomaly was due to 1 terrible inning AND Wilson on the mound this time.
With 2 great pitchers on the mound, I will take the team that has consistently put up huge numbers for a long time now... instead of the team that normally has to scrape and scrounge for every run they get.
Atlanta ML -110
I really like Atlanta in this sport. They will have the awesome Tommy Hanson on the mound. He is rockin a 10-5 record as well as a 2.73 ERA. Hanson has not lost an away game since his 2nd start of the year. Over all he has a road record of 5-2 this year. He allowed only 3 runs is 5 away games of 34 innings! Also, Hanson actually just beat Colorado on the 4th of this month, winning 4-1.
On the other side, Colorado will be sending Jhoulys Chacin to the mound. He is sporting an 8-7 record as well as a 3.37 ERA. Not only has Chacin lost his last 3 outings but he lost to the Braves earlier this month on the 5th. During that game, the Rockies lost 5-3.
Atlanta is one of my favorite teams to bet on because we know that if Hanson kills it, their bull pen knows how to finish games.
I'm taking Hotlanta and Hanson at the good price of -110
