Yep, I understand what those "rallies & protests" were about. People think they are mistreated, and often are. MLK thought the same thing. Hell, he had a dream and marched peacefully. The pen is mightier than the sword my friend. MLK knew that and that violence begets violence and that the black community would have to stand together as a collective if they wanted inprovement.

Pretty sure MLKs dream did not include burning the local gas station, CVS and many black owned businesses. I'm not sure why I'm a bigot because I live in the real world. Obviously a lot of what you say is true, but thats not the point. Your thoughts and opinions are always about what caused or led up to an incident (education,family, society etc). Those are all documented facts, and no one really argues with you. Most people know blacks have an uphill battle in society & life. I get it. I dont live with my head in the sand....hell, I live 20 miles from Ferguson, MO. When people refer to "thugs and hoodlums", they are referring to the less than 1% of blacks that anchor the racist thoughts of all whites. I see these people all the time. It isn't 1% that give 99% a bad name as you implied, and 99% of blacks are not nice hardworking people.  I am not pulling that out of my a**, all kinds of data supports it.  Well I guess "nice" could be subjective.  Blacks are way out in front in rates of disease, single motherhood, dropout ratios, drug distribution, rape, imprisonment, food stamps, public housing assistance, murder, criminal records, EIC payments, child support delinquency, and on and on and on.

If posters want me to dig up the numbers and links to the data I will. It isn't just high percentages compared to whites, it's a high proportion of the African American population, much more than 1%

The truth can be harsh, but I think the way so many people lie about the situation is worse.  Add to that the sizable portion of blacks who don't belong to those numbers, possibly such as you Scatabrane, but refuse to criticize the behavior and instead make excuses and point fingers elsewhere, well that's where you get a lot of animosity and wariness from a lot of whites I think.

There could be a perfectly good reason though that old Daron's DNA was found on the pizza crust from pizzas delivered to the house the night they were murdered, paid for by money in an envelope left outside the door.
