long story short...ive fucked up...and Yes...i know don't play what you don't have...anyways im trying to solve this matter and some inputs & advised needed

so...i know this guy, who has credit for close to $7 per week from his local bookie.....i ran into him just beginning of start of worldcup....he told me if i want i can use his account to place some small wagers..cuz he know i like to play little bit...and i don't know what got into me and spent it all $7K.....

Heres what ive done to try to solve it

already asked around to borrow money but nuthin, also trying to sell anyof goodies (baseball cards, tv's etc.) no luck yet. Already asked someone to take over my leased car (6month left) so ill have about $600 extra per month (pending), i make 2500Net, but after (rent, car, insurance, utility, etc., ) i have about 400-500 that i can pay each month, my credit is fucked up so i don't even have c/c or even thinking of doing loan,,,

that guy who gave me to use his account is getting nervous and said that his agent keep asking him about it, he said agent said something like i have to comeup w/ atleast half ($3000) and then maybe talk about payment plan, and he refuse to tell my guy what will happen if he (or i) don't payup

im trying hard to comeup with anything...just can't find any solution.

i don't know if one of following will happen or solve that prob but

    1. get harrased & get beat up

    2. i need to move

    3. nothing happens???

Anyways thanks for reading and forgive me for my bad grammr any inputs appreciated.

No offense, but 7k is not deep shit.  Its stupid and bad, but not deep.  Many on here can share their stories with you, that they wish they only owed 7k.  Its all realative.  $100 is a ton to one guy and 100k is a ton to another.

Not to sound like an ass, but you got bigger issues than some guy you owe money to.  I am not judging just replying to your post.  Seems like you know what you did.  You have to pay, how I do not know, when... that is up to you and what you can do.

Borrowing money, will get you deeper, much deeper than you are in now.  It also leaves you open to getting more credit somewhere else and making it 10x's worse for yourself.

If you want to PM me or friend me, I can give you some insight.  No bullshit though.  I have heard it all, and seen most of it.  There is always a way to get yourself out.  If you want drop me a line.

I am suprised others here haven't offered some sort of advise.  Not something like oral, or beg.  You have options.  You have to pay!  How and when, that can be discussed.  Like I said, drop me a line if you want...

Nowadays you can settle with these bookies like crazy. They dont hold much leverage. Very unlikely anyone is going to beat you up. Just be blunt and honest and say hey this is the situation. I got nothing. Either I pay you 400 a month for a year or you get nothing. I wish I knew the power of negotiation when I was 19 and 20 and losing.  What would be best for you is to offer to settle for half now and that is it. Otherwise tell him he has to wait. He would rather have 3500 now then 400 a month.  Then just never play with them again.

call the man and tell him the truth and tell him you will make it right. You screwed up,but he sould have used better judgement allowing you to have access to his account. He wants his money not your hide, that will not get him paid.

First off, you need to get this situation dealt with. You can't run from it, or hide from it. You used someone's account, so you must know this guy, probably a friend of yours or something like that.Be an adult and talk to the bookie. Be honest and fair with him. Don't lie! Don't make excuses! The bookie will probably be upset and add interest to what you owe, but agree on a set amount every month.

Then eliminate all "non-essential" expenses in your life. Don't go out and drink, don't go out to eat. Stay in, save money, etc. Work, work, work, maybe even pick up a second job. Try and work 60-70 hours per week. That will show the bookie you are serious about paying him back

Finally, you need to look at yourself. Examine why you put yourself in this situation. Stop wagering, if you don't have the money. Seriously, consider GA. Get help.

After 6 months, you should be all good with everything without having to make wholesale changes in your life.

Finally some sense of reason.  w8 nailed it.  If you are not straight then go run for the hills.  You have to be honest and to the point.  No BS.  They would have heard it all before anyway, so now your wasting his time and that is costing him more money.  Its all about money at the end of it all.  When will I get it, how much, and are you good for it?  You have to make changes, nobody else.  You.  It wouldn't hurt for you to take a beaten just to learn a lesson, but those days are over.  People want to get paid, not hurt people.  You may think you dont have an issue, but I can tell you I have seen a ton of guys say that its only a 1k or only 10k, next thing you know it is the same story every week.  I dont care how much you make, 10k a week (tax free) is still a hefty amount of cash.  Right now you got a chance to pay this thing off ,if you do it right.  It will take time, but if you do it right, in 6 months, plus, it will be a lesson learned.  You play around, sneak your way around, try to get more credit, take another shot, etc...  You are writing a ticket only you will be able to cash, and its not a winner!

Here in New Jersey I saw a few guys get into trouble like this.
Best thing I can say is face it head on, don't run away.

I guess it all depends, who is running this operation. I am sure they will work out a payment plan for you.

7k isn't that much to a bookie, at least shouldn't be.  he's going to be pissed, but just give him as much as you can first payment, then work out a payment plan, bi-weekly or monthly, like everyone else said, he just wants his money.  but don't be suprised when he never takes your action again.

The 7 grand is not the problem. The fact you took a shot at the book and can't pay any of it or a large part of the debt is the problem. You will find out quickly if the book is connected or not real quick. Good luck but  the only way out if he is connected is a LARGE chunk of money. If he is not connected and just a wanna be don't sweat it because he won't do anything.

7K isn't too bad. Just man up, be honest, and learn your lesson bro. You may need to pay a chunk at first but all should be good after that.

surprised ......not really....no one has even hinted at the real issue.....
and THAT is.......fuckin your buddy over.......and making it right with him
you should DO......whatever he wants....as it is HIS debt...
determine how much you can come up with......selling stuff....borrowing......make an offer .....for one payment
if not satisfactory......to bookie (thru your buddy)...
    pay it out as stated......
er.....unless you already work about 15 hours/day.....7 days /week.......get another job
It is better to be feared - than to be loved.

Wow yeah I agree w/the people that say be up front and honest.

I've talked w/one of these bookies before.  They want honesty.  If they sense you're trying to cheat them, you're in big trouble.

They want to get paid.  So they don't want to resort to violence.   And they might just cut you off if you're lucky.

That's just my 2 cents.  And tell them EXACTLY what you say here-that you're just begging to sell everything-and NEVER do that again.

Second, tell him you'll pay him 1000$ a month for the next 7 months because you are a degenerate.

Sit down with em telll them what you did and work out a payment plan. Act respectful and worried and if they are not connected their biggest worry is you will freak out and tell the FEDS. That is why they will work it out with you. Most local agents will tell you they know they have a bad debt amount in fact a percentage of their total action that will not be paid or slow paid. And finally realize you may have a problem going forward. Open a Bet Jam account that way you cant play with money you dont have. Credit is dangerous whether you are gambling or shopping. Good Luck.
